Goes to show just how good you've got to be to make it in the NBA.

Makes me think Furphy is an idiot. If Buddy Hield can barely crack the Philly rotation and he's proven to be capable of this type of stuff, I wonder how on earth Furphy is going to survive his first year or two.

Another great game.

Another game where Embiid has sort of shrunk in crunch time.

Ugh, Buddy would have had a look but panicked and rushed it. I think he was afraid they were going to foul.

Great series.

Maybe the end of the process?

Why would anyone without their center prefer to play jokic and the nuggets?
Because Minny has two All Star centers.

Remember when Josh Hart was on the Lakers and they gave up on him after two seasons?

If my starting center is out, I wouldn't want anything to do with jokic. Best player in the nba

They have one All Star Center.
You did say you would "almost" think (and not that you would actually think) so I will cut you some slack, but Jokic is better than any Center the Wolves have. Right?

Not sure if they gave up on him but I do remember when they traded him and a bunch of other assets to the Pelicans to acquire Anthony Davis. Worked out well for the Lakers. At least it did in 2020.

Gobert is a 3x all star.
KAT is a 4x all star.

76ers got to see what Buddy Hield brings as he gets them back from a 20 point deficit.
And now they are eliminated.

He brought them some shooting for sure....but he also had some head scratching moments. He's not a good passer and not a good defender. You can tell the motions they run with Maxey and how they get him the ball in the half court does not come natural to Hield. The 76ers also try to hide Maxey on defense, and it becomes impossible to do that with Hield in. It's wild that the 76ers used Oubre and Batum as their primary defenders on Brunson for large portions of every game.

Hield is better than he's shown with the 76ers, maybe he's just not a good fit. Even though he's a really good shooter. I'd take Oubre over him 7 days a week.

Either way Lowry only played 13min, so they needed Hield to step up, and he did. But Embiid did not.

Here comes the "I don't pay attention to stats bc they don't support my argument" and I prefer my "eye-test" rebuttal but:

Career:

Hield PER 14.5
Oubre PER 13.3

Hield DRtg 115.5
Oubre DRtg 111.8

To be honest, both Hield and Oubre are not good defenders.
This season Kelly Oubre had a -.7% in Crafted DPM ( which is combining the most popular defensive metrics ) and Hield a -.9%.

Also this season:

Buddy PER 13.6.
Kelly PER 13.5.

So if Buddy is better than he's shown at the 6ers ( which I agree ) that would make him better than Oubre.

Was Gobert an All-Star THIS season?
Heck, DeAndre Jordan "is" an All-Star so I guess the Nuggets have 2 All-Star Centers?

I mean, if you don't understand how good Rudy Gobert is then join the randy eyetest club.

I think Gobert is overrated as a defender (he gets a lot of help side blocks), but he's very good. And he's very good in the role he's in where he can focus on being a defender and rebounder primarily. With some dunks/lobs on offense.

PDub loves him some Rudy Gobert and Buddy Hield. I get it.

He leads the league in DPM and DFWS.
He may win DPOY this season - he's the leading candidate.

I do understand. In fact, I happen to agree with you that going up against BOTH Gobert and KAT would be a bitch - and then you add McDaniels and Reid (and heck, even Garza) and the Wolves have a bevy of quality "bigs".

Let's talk about the Bucks.
Let down right there.
How about that Doc Rivers ( though it really was the injuries that sent em packing )?

My boy Haliburton getting his playoff feet wet.
