so Pac qas about to leave Death Row, Biggie qas about to leave Bad Boy...
they both got murdered.
At least they didn't work for Boeing I guess
(yes the qs are intentional....tho I do wonder if there's grains of truth in this particular conspiracy).

best 25 years of music ever?
I think I'd go something like 1972-1997
get the tail end of the 60s artists, Janis, all of the funk era, the best years of country, the best years of rap, most of the grunge era, all the hair bands, skynrd, acdc, I mean....pretty tough to find a better chunk of time really

‘60-85
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: What music does everyone listen to?
I do hate leaving out the 60s...I grew up on a lot of that stuff. But I can't sacrifice the early 90s.

Re: What music does everyone listen to?
nirvana et al. get a big meh from me (not that grunge is the only 90s genre worth mentioning)
my thought process was trying to balance the 80s and 60s…tough split

the 90’s is the most forgettable decade for music.
67 to about 87(or so) is the sweet spot.

Rainbows I'm sorry you have nothing better to do than to go digging stuff up on a message board.

It's Bob Seeger, Kid Rock and Ted Nuget for Mich.

Re: What music does everyone listen to?
I’m going either like, 68-93 ish
Or like, 52-77 ish
The 50s were pretty rad with the heyday of jazz going from big band to bebop to cool to modal to free
Plus the advent of a genre called rock and/or roll
Among others
And ending it at 77 secures such a solid run of the Dead

Re: What music does everyone listen to?
Solid span for sure…you get Mozart’s first sonata…but Eine kleine Nachtmusik didn’t even drop til ‘87.
My bad, wrong century…
Re: What music does everyone listen to?
1948-1973, Parker to Chicago, Floyd, Beatles, Buddy Rich, Coltrane. Even country, Blue Grass, Williams to Campbell, Bill Monroe.

I would say Joy Division through 2019.
If you can completely disregard EDM, rap (real rap, not this Drake bullshit) and modern folk….,
…..then you can kiss my ass

Re: What music does everyone listen to?
During a U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, Bono asked the audience for total quiet.
Then in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands. Once every few seconds. Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."
From the front of the crowd, a broad Scottish accent pierced the quiet: "Well fuckin' stop doin' it then ya evil b#stard!"
