I'd bet that the number of Chiefs fans who agree with Butker is much higher than the number of Chiefs fans who are in a group disparaged or minimized by Butker. He isn't losing his job.

Women were really starting to warm to the team and are the majority of the living population. Just a stupid stupid own goal. People are pissed. The smug bullies who agree with bigotry are many though. We are allowed mistakes, but this seems like an inflexible life choice, which is the sad thing.

It was OK because they weren't openly republican?

Did not remember your being a wingnut. But c'mon. He ragged on everyone from the pope to Travis Kelce. Put a big target on the LGBTQ community and degraded women. He has a right to those beliefs but righteous and principled people oppose him and do not want to give his proto fascist belief system cover to endanger people and democracy.

Turns out the Nuns who founded Benedictine College don't agree with Butker's characterization of the college, or appreciate being told to stay in their lane?

Link to read the statement on twitter.

I don't know whether Butker is a nut or not. I haven't seen the entire speech, only the part about being a wife/mom/homemaker....if I get really bored I will watch the entire thing to hear the stuff about the Pope, Kelce, and the LGBTQs.

I was saying that the girl in the video who used to work for ESPN has never come across as a nut to me. But you may consider anyone who is remotely "conservative" (whatever that means nowadays) to be a nut. Which is absolutely your right. But also maybe a bit nutty also?

She comes across as someone absolutely wing nutty by normalizing attacks on groups of people. All it takes is for good people to remain silent or lulled onto silence. I would feel the same way if someone said he was commiting a mortal sin by being catholic and that men should all be gay. But that isn't likely to happen in an authoritarian crackdown next year. Women being forced to give birth, trans being rounded up or put on an ID list? It is happening now.

That 3 game stretch in which they play 10 days with 2 road games, 1 of them on Xmas just 4 days after they have to take on an up and coming Houston, is pretty bullshit.

To be annoyingly picky, it's 3 games in 11 days, not 10.

Day 1: Sun, Dec. 15th game at CLE
Day 2: Mon, Dec. 16th
Day 3: Tue, Dec. 17th
Day 4: Wed, Dec. 18th
Day 5: Thu, Dec. 19th
Day 6: Fri, Dec. 20th
Day 7: Sat, Dec. 21st game vs. HOU
Day 8: Sun, Dec. 22nd
Day 9: Mon, Dec. 23rd
Day 10: Tue, Dec. 24th
Day 11: Wed, Dec. 25th game at PIT

The only thing that bothers me about it is that the Ravens and Texans both get their bye week the week prior to starting that stretch both of them as well as PIT have the same 3 games in 11 days stretch at the same time) while KC will have already had their bye week 9 weeks earlier. KC's bye week should have been just prior to that stretch as well.

Well if we want to get even more picky, since you're being annoyingly picky, from the moment the ball is kicked off for the first game, there are 11 hours ( December 15 1 PM ) + ( 24 hours * 9 days ) + 13 hours December 25th 1 PM.
3 games in 240 hours.

240/24 is 10.

So we agree that after exactly 10 days have passed that the Chiefs will have completed just 2 games and that they start a third early into the 11th day. I kid, I kid.

I don't like NFL games in Christmas Day. So many families are moving around to multiple houses that day. It's a bummer to stick a long football game in there when it's likely that a lot of people won't be able to watch the whole thing. I hope this is a failure ratings wise do the NFL stops doing it after this season.

Welllllll, actually, when the Chiefs 1st game ends, it will be close to 4:30, which would put the hours lower than 240, so while you use the word complete, I use the word play, so no, I don't agree.

1 PM XMas day is awful.

100% agree. Battling football traffic in and out, they also have to spend a lot of unpaid time before and after their shift. It sucks all around and I hope it fails spectacularly.
