Things That Annoy Me
Re: Things That Annoy Me
When did it become ok to watch video on your phone, with audio on, around other people. Fucking HATE it.
And yes, I’m typing this to drown out the noise from Mrs. Fish’s phone.

Today In: So Much Winning!
I have a leak in one of my car tires so even tho I doubt they're open, I see if the place I bought these Michelins at is open on Sunday, and they are! Not only did they open at 9:00, but they can get me in at 11:00 to have it fixed! (According to Megan at the centralized scheduling part of the operation.) So I show up and after waiting in line for over 20 minutes just to tell them I've arrived, while they try to discourage everyone in line in front of me, and eventually me, from dropping their care off or waiting for it today, because they're so far behind. "I'll wait", I tell the guy.
But, the good news is that while I was waiting, I read the fine print on my receipt from 21,000 miles ago when I bot the tires, and I have lifetime flat tire repair!
$40 saved by having to wait in line!

howsabout this for winning:
so I find this sweet coffee mug with mushrooms painted on it in this little shop downtown. They wrap it in paper for me, I put it in my reusable grocery bag, and walk on out.
I get outside and my hand carrying the bag is promptly stung by a hornet. I jump, drop the bag, and hear the sound of shattering ceramic.
Allsome.
Now my hand is all throbbing and swollen and red, and my new mug is busted to pieces.
win/win?

Re: Things That Annoy Me
People who get way too angry in their cars in parking lots.
If you're in a parking lot, and it's busy, and someone is backing out, there's a decent shot they can't see you, especially if you've just turned the corner.
If you're driving and you see someone backing out who clearly doesn't see you but they aren't in danger of hitting you, just stop, and let them out. It's going to take MORE time for everyone for them to go into drive and pull back into the spot to let you by.
Yesterday some over weight strange facial hair situation hat wearin' guy in an obnoxiously large RAM truck decided to make it a point that he shouldn't have had to stop driving to let me back out. I didn't see him initially, started to pull out, and saw him come around the corner. I stopped to be sure he was stopping. He did. So then I just backed the rest of the way out. Now he's clearly agitated and starts laying on the horn. I ignore him. This of course angers him, he's got to make sure he sees that I know that he thinks I did something wrong. So he pulls up behind me at the light and honks again. Good on you my man. So then he switches lanes ( he probably wasn't going this way and now has to take a longer way home ) so he can scream at me, window down. I casually look over and give him the most dramatic I AM SO SORRY and then look immediately back at the road ahead. He then speeds up at the light, swerves in my lane, and, in a different life, I don't hit the brakes and just let him smash into me.
TLDR: there's a level to road rage - if someone does something very stupid and almost hits your car - a medium level of honking/yelling is allowed - but road rage doesn't really belong in a parking lot ( unless they're 'stealing' your spot ).

Obnoxiously large RAM trucks in the first place are a dead giveaway the dood is a needledick
Re: Things That Annoy Me
i drive very defensively. i give way more space between me and the car in front of me. i drive below the speed limit(not counting on the highway).
i always go for the furthest away parking spot. 1. to get my steps 2. to avoid exactly what you describe

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Things That Annoy Me
yeah, when did this go out of style?

Why do they not put the giblets in whole chickens anymore?
Dog loves the liver and heart, I get the gizzard, neck goes in the stock pot.
Wuddup? Very annoying.

pretty sure most other cultures are better about eating every part of an animal.
Then again, pretty sure we eat more hot dogs than any other culture too.
