I lived in Texas for about 2 years. I remember being shocked how low the taxes were when I got paid. I actually contacted the IRS to make sure I was paying enough tax. One downside was that there was no money for salt when it snowed. Snow would stay on the streets for days.

I have been in Waco 16 years and I have seen maybe 3-4 snow events over 1 inch, none over 3 inches... don't miss snow!
