In which case, I'm not sure whether he'd return or not. I am of the opinion if he gets to play the whole season, he's most likely going to return....so I'm not sure how many games would be the tipping point. Obviously his feedback from the NBA would move that point.
Playing the Big12 Season and post-season would probably be enough. Skipping the Directional States game would be okay.
From our standpoint yes.

From his, I'm not sure. That's a long time for someone like McCormack, who I think is gonna be a stud, to establish himself. Self doesn't like to tinker with lineups, and only cuts the rotation as the year goes on. And if I'm Silvio and want to impress scouts, I don't want the first 8 games in January to be shaking off the rust and trying to build chemistry....I dunno.

The more positive the feedback from the NBA the fewer games he'll be willing to sit out for.

I have no idea what his NBA feedback will be. From the little I've seen, he seems to have above-average tools across the board, and a great motor, but gosh he just hasn't played basketball at all.

We are either going to get him back in full, or not at all.
this i agree with, presuming logic

Well, the result SHOULD be that he gets an extra 25 or so games of eligibility given back to him because he got a 2 year suspension for something that normally gets 10 or so games. But that won't happen. I don't think anything can be presumed.

The fact that DC is asking this could mean something good.
Last time he said don't bother.

This wouldn't be good for us, but...

There would be some level of fairness if the ruling ends up being that he's immediately eligible to play anywhere but Kansas.

He did so much less than Zion and his family. Kind of hard to build a good Davey and Goliath episode out of this predicament.

Sometime in Mid-December the LJW will release a blurb at the end of an article that says back in April De Sousa's appeal was denied, after a long summer and fall of Self saying we'll hear something soon and that he's optimistic and that Silvio's attitude has been great.

Per the LJW these type of appeals typically take around 7 business days to rule. We are past that.

Why didn’t Silvio opt to attend the GLeague combine/camp?

Just saw this article. Doesn't really say why though.

Strangely, still not a peep about this on kusports.com. They are unusually slow to the draw on this.

Thinking the same thing. Hampton getting one crystal ball pick gets a full article, but no mention at all of Silvio not attending the combine is odd. As soon as I caught wind of that announcement I would have been calling anyone and everyone in the AD. At the very least can publish that news and "calls for comment were not immediately returned".

I'd guess the radio silence means it was news to the staff, too.

Which also means it probably has nothing to do with his appeal....or some type of injury, either.
