I think after the comments that Kansas only let him be 50% of himself we might be able to assume it was Grimes/Grimes camp that wanted out.

We've got the pieces we need. Self can add a player or two and then we'll be in great shape. Dotson and Agbaji should develop into really good players.

Better without grimes. Self promised him minutes as a frosh and dude didn't earn them.

Garrett and agbaji are better anyway, and it's not like grimes would be happy coming off the bench for 18 mpg.

He made a smart decision to return to school. He'll be fine. I would have been much more disappointed if he stayed in the draft and then went undrafted.
