For those who didn’t already know I’m nearing my 25th year anniversary of working in the pharmaceutical industry. I’ve worked for “big Pharma” (2 of the top 5) and three “emerging-pharma/biotech”. I’m on the frontline of a highly regulated landscape.
After reading this article on the heels of reading this book on the generic drugs I’m genuinely afraid. While the book focuses on overseas manufacturers domestic ones are no saints.

While a few regulations may be onerous the vast majority, by far, are intended to protect the consumer; as a consumer I am so glad that they are in place. It greatly concerns me that compliance is loose and enforced ineffectively.
You should be scared every time you pop something.
