According to Self this afternoon.

"After discussing with his family, everybody came to the conclusion that this was not a good fit."

McBride made the decision Tuesday and Self seemed to try to convince him to stay, but both him and family decided it just wasn’t going to work.

Would have been a perfect 4 year guard. Guess he didn’t want to sit.

Makes you wonder if Boot Camp was just tough on him. Self and staff are not a fun bunch to be around during that time and it’s an eye opener for plenty, I think.

Can’t say I’m to shocked by this as his signing in general was a bit of a mystery.

The main question we may never know the truthful answer to is why he wanted to play for KU and then once on campus and after going through "boot camp" he no longer wanted to play for KU. What didn't make KU a "good fit" any more?
Seems like a good kid who is religious. Hard to imagine the basketball team "atmosphere" didn't suit him.

All recruits think that a KU offer means they are good enough to be a rotation player at KU. They they show up and see the competition for the rotation and realize they arent.

Some scholarship offers are to "just in case" guys. Those guys usually figure out they were "just in case" and then move on.
