I also like Huggy.
I just hate how he plays and then bitches about it when it doesn't work.

Illy with a contrarian post, who would have thought?

I like Bob Huggins, but I do not respect a coaching philosophy of "they can't call every foul so might as well foul all the time!"

I also find it eyerolling if a coach that seemingly employs this philosophy and then bitches about free throw discrepancy after his team blew a 30 point lead on the road while chucking junk perimeter shots.

why I would never have a beer with him.

Over/Under on him making this complaining gesture tonight set at 11.5 (would be 18.5 if it was in AFH)

Yes, because whenever someone has a different opinion that must mean they're just being contrarian. It's not possible for 2 people to just feel differently about something.

I think Huggins is probably a grumpy but funny dude outside of basketball.
I don't like him when he's on the court but still get a chuckle from his antics.
If things aren't going right, he goes full Sparko on the refs.

having a beer with huggins

"Can't believe they don't have High Life on tap"
"This beer is warm"
"Where'd the waitress go?"
"Why won't she get me a refill?"
"They should have free peanuts."
"These nachos should have more cheese"
"I'm outta beer again, where's that damned waitress?"
"The lights in here are too dim, get me the manager."
"This stool doesn't have enough padding for my fat ass."
"It's too warm in here, for my fat ass."

If done in the right tone, those kind of people can be fun to hang with at bars ( in small portions ).
I have a friend who is like this but layers on the sarcasm. Loves to hate.

I'm sure Ous has a huge problem with customers wanting refills. I bet we get a 6 paragraph post about how shitty it is to ask for a refill the first time he ever has to get someone a refill.

We've had some epic comebacks in AFH v WVU.
Last year they had a mini comeback where Garrett took some sort of fadeaway jumper in the last minutes with lots of time on the clock, Dedric didn't play defense and Vick didn't attack the rim and settled for a corner 3.

Here are some fun wins though:

I sure did. At least in principle. Refills are free, as a rule. You don’t need six cokes before your dinner comes. Here’s a preemptive insulin shot.

Free doesn’t usually equate to giving more money. Now if you wanted a refresh on your beverage, or a new beverage, that’s gonna increase your check, and probably the money you leave. This said, when I served, I generally included refills without being asked on trips I made back through, especially if I saw you chug 3/4 of your pop as I was setting it down.

I do food delivery now with some third party vendors. Most all ‘tipping’ done before hand. Really is majority of pay. So, if I do decide to take a low shit tip offer (I keep a log of people that don’t tip in app, and sometimes give a ‘chance’ to tip in person), there is no care given to how much ice is in drinks or what kind of special instructions (if laborious) you have included. Because the tip rate is about 30% in this cases.

Very liberating to be able to say no, or demonstrate human nature in kind.

This was only five paragraphs. Oussie must be a better writer than I am, he’d have six.

It does impact your tip though.

At a restaurant, I tip 20% standard, 25% for exceptional service, and 15% if its bad.

So if I had to finish the last several bites of my meal with nothing to drink that would be the difference between a $6 tip and a $10 tip on a $40 check.

Keep in mind. A customer can't get up and get his own beverage, that would be incredibly rude. So he has no option other than the server.

What you described (6 cokes before the food arrives) is someone being an asshole, let's call it what it is.

Please reread my post. I believe it said "a refill" as in singular.

The mistake "ousey" and apparently you make is you can't differentiate a reasonable request from bad behavior if the former led to the latter.

7 paragraphs.

Tips will be good in area today, KU won. That's a call for happy.

PhD...if you are telling the truth about how your tip is influenced, know that you are in a small excepted class. Most people don't do that. But most people claim to do it. Much like no one is ever the bad driver.

And I agree with everything else. Especially my misreading. I'm dumb.

If I go to a bar for lunch and get a 11-14$ bill I usually leave a 20$. So on the small bills my tips can be high % wise....but on an expensive dinner I almost always tip about 25%. My first job was a host at a restaurant. Food service front of the house workers deal with the worst of the worst rudeness from people.
