Nevermind
I agree.
it really only matters for the 24 hour news cycle and the few of us that care about college basketball more than in passing.
And for sorting out who gets the last higher seed vs. the first lower seed. This loss will be an anchor around their ankles when seeds are handed out.

Very cool. Love Coach Self. Happy for Sam too.

Sorry to change the subject -
Roy (and Steve Robinson) made a special trip to the United Center last night to see Coby play. For whatever that's worth.
Thought it was nice of them.

The suit was never going to stay in state court, entirely removable. The injunction goes away then. Can’t blame him for moving on and not spending the money.

NCAA wins again. It’s so great that Wiseman and Hampton will be playing in New Zealand this season. Winning!!

If the schools can’t won’t or don’t want to live under some sense of law and order, then they should break free from the ncaa.

I will not have one drop of sympathy for Memphis or wiseman if this goes bad. They broke the rules. Then said phucque you to Johnny law when they got busted.

"It has become clear to Mr. Wiseman that the lawsuit he filed last week has become an impediment to the University of Memphis in it's [sic] efforts to reach a fair and equitable resolution with the NCAA concerning his eligibility status. Therefore, Mr. Wiseman advised his legal team that he wished to withdraw his lawsuit. There will be no further comment at this time," the statement said.

CNB - I am curious if the attorneys could have worked pro bono for Wiseman and if so, would that have been an NCAA violation? If someone was paying them - who was it?

So..... In other words, are we learning the attorneys were were incompetent, gave Wiseman piss poor advice, and Wiseman had other attorneys reach out to him and tell him to drop those attorneys?
Any, all, none of the above?
