All of these fan outrages are basically stuff Mizzou fans have always done though. Throwing crap. Check. Chanting obscenities. Check. Pouring stuff on the opposing team. Check. Allowing the “Antlers” to intimidate refs and opponents. Needing escort out of facilities. Norm would be proud.

Brooks and Yedlin fared better than McKenzie and Ream...our defense still needs work.

I also thought about joking about mizzou, and they are indeed terrible. At least with mizzou they have the excuse that half of the assholes are dumb college kids.
El Tri fans have been trash for so long, are grown adults, and the stuff they pulled last night is their default. Can't imagine what they are like on their bad behavior.
Just ban all their fans for a game or two based on last night alone. Some should be banned for life.

This is where the empty Paige Arena gif makes your point.

I hate all things Mizzou but even I can’t admit that they are worse than Mexico fans worst. They pee in their water bottles and throw them at the opposing team.

Yeah, they really need to figure out that back line. Brooks is a mainstay. But they have to be better back there. The MF and FW areas are the clear areas of strength.
Also, Sargent blew quite a few opportunities last night. He needs to convert those to stay in the starting 11.

I still have yet to see Sargents promise.
Our mid is strong.

Johns Brooks and Aaron Long are the first-choice center back duo for this team. Long tore his Achilles a little less than a month ago so finding the right CB to pair with Brooks is going to be an ongoing experiment for little bit. In the meantime, I think the best option is to take another look at Matt Miazga.
Your ideal back four probably looks like:
Dest - Brooks - Long - Cannon
For the first time in a long time, the USMNT actually has some talented options available at the fullback position. DeAndre Yedlin is solid depth and has experience which is important in CONCACAF settings.
Also, I don't think we've seen this team's attack at full strength yet. Jordan Morris is still recovering from a massive knee injury. Any USMNT first choice roster would include him.

Low bar though. I would not put it past them given some of the sports drinks I see them with.

That was a super fun match. Didn't even think about that there would be a thread here. I thought we were toast when Mexico went up 2-0, then a few minutes later it's tied 1-1. It started to get a little tense in the stands when they went to VAR and eventually gave Pulisic the PK. Mexico fans easily outnumbered US fans 5:1.

US Costa Rica tonight.
Berhalter trying to sim WC qualifying with 3 games in a week or so.
Wonder with the big win Sunday if we see less of Pulisic, Reyna and McKennie.

Don’t think we’ll see them and if we do it’ll be for maybe a half.

Internet went out after the first goal.
Pretty good beat down.
If we can keep this up, we should finish top 2 in our group for 2022.

Best form US has had in a long time. 1st team is really good, 2nd squad has guys who play in top European leagues. Deepest the squad has probably ever been. EVER.

It's not even close, no USMNT had had half this talent and depth. The fact the almost all of them are in the same age bracket (18-23) is remarkable. There's also more talent on the way. Several 15-17 year old kids playing in Europe right now.
2022 is going to be fun, but 2026 will be the opportunity to do something truly special. A lot of things can change between now and then, but you have to think a run to the Quarter Finals is within reach.

If Berhalter can't get this group in the World Cup, he should never be able to coach again.

I'm not even sure why that's a concern. We're going to the World Cup.
The 2018 disaster was due to Klinsmann being an ego maniac and wanting the story to be all about him combined with all of our best players taking retirement paychecks to come play for a soft MLS. And once the hole was dug deep enough, we tried to use a washed up (and another ego maniac) Arena to fix things. This situation has 0 similarities to that one.
