Seems a little high, but kind of shows that this board is underselling how good of a move this was for Denver and how good they can be. Might be chiefs bias.
Let's talk in November.

Also, Vegas odds are designed to take money from stupid people

I think that is way too big a bump for Russell Wilson.

Understood, but it’s not like it’s a difference between 5th and 20th. And they obviously have a better grasp than Joe Public.

Favorites are KC, BUF, and GB. That’s reasonable.

Agree, but like stated above, it doesn’t mean they suck. It certainly gets their fans’ attention and looks like they might have a chance.

Given that KC and BUF are the favorites, I have to think that they would be the 3rd favorites if they were in the NFC.

No charges for DeShaun.

Seems like that will clear him.

I’m actually surprised by this news. You have to think Houston still wants to move on. Will be interesting to see where he goes and what Houston gets in return.

I tend to think his case will be moved to the IARP, and we will hear something in 7-10 years.

Maybe.

Will any civil cases affect his standing? But yeah I think Watson is traded within the week.

I dont think Denver is the 5th best team in the NFL.

But I do think top 10-12 seems reasonable.

Not directly. But obviously he won’t want those to get to discovery.

As a Chiefs fan, I hate Denver having a non-Flacco.

1100 percent would not bet on Denver winning super bowl but if you do not think they improved next year you are a clown

Their defense will fall off a little and they really need help on the OL. Wilson probably has one more year of decent escapability. His size has always made him a scrambler. The Broncs seem to have rolled the dice. I think they panicked and gave up too much for post prime Russ.
Denver finished as close to the record of the Jets and Texans as they did to the record needed to earn the last playoff spot.
UMM

WTF

Denver was the same as the Jets and the Texans.

They all had no QB.

Except Denver aaahhhhhhhh was a lot better. If they had a QB someone as say Wilson then most likely they in a playoff spot. Why the other two teams you mentioned for some reason had absolutely no chance.

At this point, I’m not sure what discovery would uncover that the authorities (hopefully) have not already tracked down.

And, of course there is the PR battle to think about, so maybe some more allegations start leaking out now that the criminal stuff is over, but beyond DeShaun self-incriminating himself, it seems he may be in the clear here from a PR perspective.

I don’t follow. The police don’t have to show the cards they had. I’d think the likelihood of bad facts coming out would increase exponentially in the case of full-fledged civil litigation.

Plaintiffs would have had no reason to not leak their bad facts already or not act in good faith with authorities.

If I remember correctly, the entire thing started out with the filing of the suits. I can’t even imagine there is video out there, bc we would have seen it already.

The police investigation is now available to public through sunshine request. So we will see it all soon, but given there was no reason for plaintiffs not to leak everything from the beginning, the bad facts not uncovered seem more likely to be unfavorable to plaintiffs. We shall see.

Of course, the cleanest move from DeShaun’s side at this point, if he can afford it, is to settle now with confidentiality terms.

It’s demonstrated that this isn’t as easy as it seems, but my god it sure seems to me like trading the money needed to live an A+++, “fuck-you money” life in exchange for having a secure, A+ life, is quite worth it.
