And I would be stunned if AOC was even remotely considered for VP while it wouldn't stun me at all if Trump considered MTG. After Pence let him down by having a bit of a spine and choosing to follow the actual law, he will be looking for a VP with no personal morals whatsoever and MTG seems perfect in that role.

What is it that Tulsa Gabbert did to "show guts"? I have seriously heard her name once in the last few years and it was for a self-serving "why I left the Democratic Party" interview meant to position her in the minds of simpleton as some sort of independent thinker.

Looks like the 60 seconds of Twitter videos these young try-hards watched as their education on what is going on had a profound, but deeply stupid, impression on them. Very faux outrage/performance art.

Spent some time with a "moderate" Republican Governor yesterday.
It was very refreshing to speak with a politician that isn't a member of their political party's cult.
A co-worker said that's the type of political we need to be our next President. I agreed - and I would hope more people in this country would agree but I'm afraid there are too many people that are bat shit fucking crazy cult members who feel they not just want but need a President who is an "extremist" to be THEIR leader. I want a President who will be OUR leader.

It feels like Biden thinks that based on the polls, he is be the best Dem chance to keep Trump out of the White House and may feel obligated to run even if he doesn't want to. I hope we generate a better option that more people will put their faith behind. I'd rather not have him on the ticket in '24.

I will say, in positive news, that despite it seeming like the majority seems to overwhelming support the extremes...im not convinced thats the case.

I live in a very red area. Over the last 18 months there has been a quiet shift. The over 65s and under 25s are still very much MAGA trump flag flying diehards....and they're loud. Meanwhile, the 30-55 year olds seem to be staying red in theory, but distancing themselves from the Trump segment.

Its because they dont actually pay attention but he's now "counter culture" so they can feel cool by waving flags and rolling coal etc. Its not because they even agree with his policies or stances...or even know what they are at all.. It’s because in their little bubble of people its cool to be "against the media" and sway of normalcy. The same way every generation of under 25s has tried to "rebel". Trump has become the guy that these particular groups have latched onto.

The over 65s is less excusable really.....for one, they'll actually vote.

I have been in the room with NY's governor many times. However, she wasn't the governor then so I didn't feel like it was a big deal. Lt. Governor seems kind of lame until suddenly one becomes the governor of New York. Her prior political position had been as a county clerk. Now that she is Governor, I only see her at political rally-type stuff.
