They gonna have a lot of pieces next season.
Plus MacClung, minus Moretti.

Not overly concerning.
We have about 8 dudes who can guard him well.

I think Josh Selby is a good comp. Short shooting guard that is a big time athlete, average shooter, not good assist-to-turnover ratio for a guard, and questionable attitude?

They have a top 15 class coming in.
If Ramsey withdraws from the draft, they’ll be a challenge.

Willie Warren too.
Showdown between Collins and Warren in Oklahoma pretty epic.
Warren would have started over a sophomore Morningsleeves.

Warren has been everywhere man.

sophomore Morningsleeves...gag

and I remember Selby being suspended, then really good for like 6 games, then hurt, then just kind of good for the rest of the season, but did he have attitude issues too? I don't remember it...

Downhill from there.

yeah, sounds about right.

I remember being even more excited about Xavier, who in his first game had like 27 points, and thought maybe KU finally won the oneanddone lottery.

but then he seemed to just put it on cruise control for the rest of the year.

I dunno if he consciously decided to, or his camp did, or maybe just got fewer touches cuz of Sherron's tendency toward hero ball, for better or worse.

Henry had the skills but didnt seem to command attention, he didnt have the attitude to demand touches so he ended up floating around waiting for opportunities instead of creating them. Similar to young rush.

Henry ended up besting that 27 and had a strong 2nd half of the B12.
He was a solid player/great frosh.

Grimes and Selby peaked in their 1st game and then down the rollercoaster.

I liked Henry more than anything cuz it put Face Ass back on the bench where he belonged.

In hindsight, that was fools gold (exactly like Grimes vs. MSU). He shot it well for a game. Ok.

But he just didn't have the athleticism or explosiveness to do all the shit he was supposed to be able to do.

Who, Selby or Grimes?

Cuz Selby was hurt.

Grimes was just self-pitying.

Selby fits the group of Cliff and Chieck.

Grimes is in a group of his own.

Well - I think Grimes came in out of shape. I'm not sure how else to explain why he simply did nothing athletic at all here.

Brady was an average player.
He got on the road, drunk, a day or two after the fight with the football team where Self put what I think was a curfew on the team.
He also did a pretty shady thing while in high school.

All that said, he clearly loved Kansas, and improved enough to become an asset - very good three point shooter, pretty good defender.

These two things are both true:

1 - Brady became a serviceable rotation player.

2 - Multiple things have to go wrong to have a guy like that play an important role.
