I'd do that absolutely for Johnston.
I think he'd make an impact immediately.

Use your 2nd on an edge or tackle.
And you still have 2 4th rounders.

Mingo trade up in the 2nd if he was still around I would also support.
Boston College WR Zay Flowers to workout with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in Texas as well as Johnston. Now if they move up and get Flowers I'm all for it.

I’m not as high on him because I think we have two guys similar.

We don’t have a non slot guy who can get up and catch it.

I'm guessing the Chiefs will take just about anything, maybe even a 7th, for CEH in the draft.

I thought they just had CEH and Pacheco? They need another one on day three. They need like three guys on the DL and one OL for sure.

I'm sure they are looking to see if there's any takers for CEH.
If there are, I bet they sign McKinnon and look late in the draft again for another runner.

I think there's a non zero shot we could land Addison or Johnston without trading up much if at all.
That would be ideal.

Chiefs DREAM scenario.

Somehow Quentin Johnston falls with the Giants taking another position of need, Dallas taking Bijan and Buffalo picking Zay Flowers. Chiefs land Johnston at 31 ( 1st ).

Tuli Tuipulotu, DE, flies under the radar and Chiefs land him at 63 ( 2nd ).

Matthew Bergeron, OT/G, Cuse at 95 ( 3rd ).

Chiefs trade both 4th's to Washington to move up to 97 to get Devon Achane, who falls bc of his size, RB, Texas A&M ( 3rd - trade up ).

No 4ths.

Ronnie Hickman, S, at 166 ( 5th ).

Cory Trice, CB, at 178 ( 6th ).

Zach Kuntz, TE, at 217 ( 6th ).

Lonnie Phelps, DE, at 249 ( 7th ).

Earl Bostick Jr, T, at 250 ( 7th ).

I still think Pooka was better than CEH by a mile. And went undrafted. Chiefs have a cap-space issue, so I hope they keep all their draft picks.

I really want to land Achane -- I think we can use him in WR sets, sending him out wide.

Quentin Johnston, Toney, MVS, Achane, Kelce.
Mahomes can work with that.

Rodgers to Jets official.

Jets get Rodgers, pick 15, 2023 5th round pick
Pack get pick 13, pick 42, pick 207 and a 2024 2nd round that turns into a 1st if Rodgers plays 65% of snaps.

Theoretically Rodgers could play 65% of snaps, retires and Jets still have to give Pack the 1st round pick.

Great for Green Bay, decent trade for Jets.

Yea, I think Green Bay wins here.
I don't think Jordan Love is the answer but they can find out and look for their QB of the future next year with likely 2 top 25 picks.

Jets better hope Rodgers is good enough to push them above Buffalo.
I dunno.

If the Jets drafted like they did last year, they're going to be a problem, not just in AFC East, but AFC as a whole. That's a damn good team that is a QB away.

If Breece Hall can get back healthy, they have all the pieces.
That is a top 5 defense.
You have an elite WR in my opinion.

NE radio on my drive in 15 minutes is going to be so delicious.

Do you believe in Rodgers still being even a second-tier guy? I'm not sure I do.

He's a top 15 QB. They've had a top 30 QB for the last few years.

I agree with Newton.
He’s one season removed from MVP.

Last season was quite the drop from that ( lost Davante, throwing to two rookie starters, had a hand injury most of the year ) but he’s still got a couple good years left in him.

I just don’t know if he will be good enough to jump Buffalo.

I like the way your thinking. What if we go for Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Trade with Texans for #12. Cost probably our #1 2023 two 7th picks and #1 2024.

Yet I think Flowers, USC's Jordan Addison and TCU's Quentin Johnston one of them will still be there at
31.

I might rather get one of the two guys who can start at left tackle if we are reaching that high.

Yeah. I read that, assuming Rodgers plays enough to trigger the delivery of the conditional 2nd rounder, the Jets are giving up value equivalent to the #7 overall pick.

To me, that's not a worthwhile price to pay for a sunset-of-career guy, unless he's the last piece to a conference-favorite roster. My opinion is that that's not where the Jets are (the 49ers, for example, are much closer to that, including because the NFC just isn't as strong).

I've read # 9:

"The difference is 1,345 points, which amounts to pick No. 9 in a typical draft."

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/358 ... -nfl-teams

The following question in that article:

"Is that too much to pay for a 39-year-old quarterback making more than all but one other player in NFL history?"

Probs. But man, the Jets have flopped so hard for so long. They are desperate.
