My 40,000-foot-view is that, if I'm almost always ONLY doing something with a promo/boost, I'm bringing myself as close as realistically possible to even (over the long haul).

Correct.
Otherwise there would be no gambling.

I got access to big time promos and the BUD opened an account and did the same deal.
We minimized risk on those but to be honest, I also just got a run of luck on the biggest bonus bets.

Now that i'm through that, it's just tiny bets, 1-5 dollar No Sweats and 50% boosts.
I agree - after those big gains - now i'm just above even on the money I decided to keep in.

Last night was on a site called sportsplays.com
Tiny money. A whole $1 wager - just for fun.
Two nights ago it was on FanDuel and it was a $2.50 teaser.

I bet on that many games because it's typically only a small wager. "Small risk, big reward". ;)
If I were to bet larger amounts I would probably bet on single games.
No, I have never considered round robins or progressive parlays. A. I am too lazy and forgetful. B. I just bet for fun. I'm not trying to make legitimate/serious money. Thankfully I am able to adhere to small wager limits that I set for myself. I used to not do that and wagered beyond my "limits". I don't want to get back in to that mode.

On a side note....
I did tease the 4 games this weekend.
Texans +14.5
Packers +15.5
Buccaneers +12.0
Chiefs +8.5
$1.39 wager to return $4.73

Also,
I have the Texans to win the AFC at 11-1 for $1.
I have the Packers to win the NFC at 11-1 for $1
I have the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl at 6-1.
Obviously I will lose at least $1.

I have a similar bet with Ravens ML, Bux + 8.5, Chiefs + 7.5 and 9ers -6.5.
