Kieff staying with the Lakers. I didn't realize he wasn't getting paid much. I assumed his signing a one year contract for the league minimum was a big pay cut. Apparently it's not.
Why is he only getting paid the league minimum? Does't seem right to me.
Interesting being that there were rumors he would join his brother on the Clippers.

The dude's made $47M plus in his 10 years in the league. For a kid from Philly that isn't supposed to make it, he and his brother have done alright. I would think he's more concerned now about his legacy than getting an extra million or wo.

By the way, still hilarious that Marcus got 4 years $64M from the Clips.

He doesn't look too terribly excited. Hopefully he can use that dissapointment to his advantage.

Because he had average numbers in limited playing time in a preseason game?

No.

Cuz he’s had average numbers in ample playing time throughout his entire career.

I just wanna see him play like he’s got something to prove.

Or let’s be fun and put it another way: I wanna see him play more like Oubre.

People expected the world of wiggins but he has had wayyyy better than average numbers.

Last year with warriors in a small sample size of 12 games:
33.6 min 19.4 pts 45.7 fg% 33.9 3pt% 4.6 Reb 3.6 Ast 1.3 stl 1.4 blk

And before the trade in 42 games with the timberwolves:
34.6 min 22.4 pts 44.4 fg% 33.1 3pt% 5.2 Reb 3.7 Ast 0.7 Stl 0.9 Blk

Hell the guy averaged 17 a game as a rookie. at 19. He's only 25 right now. still improving. his best basketball is ahead of him. most guys peak or prime is late 20s/early 30s
but for his career so far (the shitty part of his career as a young guy trying to find himself) here are his averages in 454 games played:
35.8 min 19.7 pts 44.1 fg % 33.2 3pt% 4.4 reb 2.3 ast 1.0 stl 0.6 blk

How many players in NBA history average 20 pts a game for their career? at under the age of 25.Wiggins just now finally made it into a good organization. Im very interested to see where his career takes him. but so far he has laid a solid foundation for a hall of fame career. He has all the tools and is in the right situation to win a lot of games and maybe titles

As people rightfully say, he's been a disappointment because fair or not, there were very high expectations of him. Has he lived up to them? Most people will tell you no.
Hall of Fame career? Maybe but right now I'm a seller on that. The guy has been in the league for 7 seasons. I've played in as many NBA All Star Games as he has.
