Any other states canceled HS sports yet? We just got everything canceled this afternoon. Basketball semis were tonight and all spring sports suspended.

We have 1 confirmed case in the state.

Michigan cancelled the state finals for the winter sports. Spring sports are suspended until mid April.

I find it interesting that some of you are finding "armageddon".
I'm wondering how and why it's so different in different places across the country.
I might understand if someone lives in a small town in rural bumble fuck and the local Target is the only store for many miles and it's packed with people but I'm seeing/reading that there are stores in big cities that are being inundated.
I have been in many stores (and restaurants) in the "Central" area of Chicago the past couple of days including a Target, Whole Foods, and Walgreens.
What I was surprised to see/notice is that while no doubt some shelves were missing items, it seemed the stores were less crowded than usual and I didn't see a single person who looked panicked.

Closed til april 24th in washington April 10th in Oregon. Everyone is expecting statewide lockdowns in WA but not OR yet. TP, non perishables,medicine and Ammo is flying off thr shelves here though in anticipation that the lockdown might include other states as well

Talked to my mom. She’s melting down about hoops being cancelled.

I say it’s a bummer, but I’m concerned about so much more than hoops.

She asks what’s the fuss all about, and I reply that my work requires me to interact with hundreds of travelers daily, many of whom are just coming thru DIA, and nearly all of whom remain stubbornly ignorant to the idea that they can get it and spread it too. I say I figure it’s just a matter of time til I get it myself.

She says stop being so paranoid, you aren’t gonna get it, people are just overhyping it, but for real what are the odds they uncancel the tournament?

Mofos are posting what the 16 team tourney bracket/s would look like.
Adds to the reason why I don't want the NCAA/CBS to come out with what would have been the 64+ team bracket. Besides, that 64 team bracket would be wrong. We have no idea what conferences might have snuck in auto-bids.
I'm wearing my 2008 "Locker Room" shirt right now and am pissed I won't have a 2020 one - assuming we would have won the tournament. Which we'll never know. Or at least at the moment I feel we will never know.
