Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I'd put Huggy on there, if for no other reason than he scores so high on the "coaches you'd like to sit down and drink about 15 beers with" chart.

Bennett? Meh.

Discussed yesterday, but I'm good with putting Sampson over Izzo if we are running a program from now until retirement.

I like Musselman. Could be on the verge of being a really hot name. But, seems everyone looks at him as some up and coming coach yet he's only 2 years younger than Bill.

1 and 2 are correct.
Then we get to 3 and the whole list is now useless.

I think Drew is a Top 10 coach.

In the Big 12. But won't be next year.

Only coach worse than Drew in the Big 12 is Tang but that's because Tang's mentor sucks.

If you had to choose between Jeremy Case and Scott Drew as your next head coach at Kansas, would he have the nickname 'Meat Necklace'?

If you had to have Scott Drew as the next head coach at Kansas, would you watch Bachelor in Paradise or The Voice?

I'm going to be so annoyed at like 4 of you if Baylor beats us this year. This Scott drew denial joke that keeps going is generating wayyyyy too much bad karma

Is Few really better than Calipari?

That's tough for me.

Few has never won a natty and exists dominating an inferior conference for most of the year. Calipari has won a natty, but it's been a while, and he has had some bad down years.

Looks like the question is "who would you want to run your program." So, almost entirely subjective.

I'm 100% serious that there might be 50+ coaches that I'd rather have at KU than Scott Drew. For different reasons, same with Tony Bennett. Few would be way down my list than where he actually ranks among coaches b/c I think he's an asshole. Izzo and Pitino are too old. It's just a different question.

I would answer the question something like:

1. Self.

Humongous gap.

2. Calipari
3. Sampson
4. Beard
5. Oats
6. Izzo
7. Musselman
8. Holloway
9. Neptune
10. Norm Roberts, if we're counting active assistants

I still think we are the best "team" in the country. Not the best roster of "talent". But best combo of coaching, experience, and talent imo. Every team has weaknesses. It is fair to say our ceiling isn't as high as some of the other top team's, but over time, or say a 6 game do or die run, I think our team is the best due to: best coach, elite defense, championship winning experience, and Gradey Dick.
