Mahomes the AFC POTM. Well earned too. 4-0. 8TDs. 1100 passing yards. Except for that weird "hide the rusher" interception at LA, a really solid month even by Mahomes' standards.

The "we get no respect" thing is of course overplayed, but I think there is such a thing as media fatigue.

Pretty stunning that the (prohibitive?) favorite for the AFC's #1 seed has, on Barnwell's two-deep All Pro, zero first teamers, and just two second teamers.

Also, if your in-house simulation engine spits out Chiefs 10, Bengals 6, you should develop a new in-house simulation engine.

I don't know any of the Chiefs like offensive line players or a ton about their secondary. But other than Kelce, I don't think I'd put any Chief on 1st team All Pro.

The big thing there has to be Mahomes not just waltzing to his usual 1st or 2nd team All Pro.

I'd have Kelce.
He missed without having Mathieu on 2nd team.
Creed was rated the best center in the NFL recently but hes a rookie.

Mahomes unfortunately doesn't make the cut this regular season so far.

So the Chiefs have lost just 2 games in the last 3 years in games after October. Tennessee when Mahomes came back from knee injury and they lost on the fluky plays at the end with the field goal bobbled and field goal blocked. And then the Super Bowl when they had all new starting OL and Mahomes had ZERO time for anything.

That's so impressive it's almost incomprehensible.

The Chiefs have sneaky elite players like Willie Gay who the analysts have not caught up to. Then there is Sneed and Jones. Their OL is elite and Humphreys has outplayed everyone at the position. I see some seller's remorse from a media conglomerate that pays Mel Kiper for some reason.

And Mahomes is simply better than the metrics can measure. So is Hill. And Kelce. Jeebus.

And their engine has Rot-this-burger scoring 30 in the cold. Um. Yeah.

Mahomes needs to escape the pocket again. We may have no OL by the end

Chiefs are so good, though. Lot of Jayhawks basketball program similarities right now.
