Did the Broncos just remember they are the Broncos?

We didnt look great but won.
No one hurt ( i think Kelce and Williams were dinged but will be fine ).
Defense had a huge play - otherwise pretty ugh.

Scratch that.
Hill hurt his heel in pregame warmups.
Again, general word is that he'll be good for next week.

I don't think we've lost to them for 6 or 7 seasons.

Also, going way full Sparko, but:

what if the Broncos soaked the field before the game since they were out of the playoffs and maybe were looking for us to pick up an injury or two on those shitty field conditions.

That's not just "way full Sparko" but beyond Sparko.

I'll see your what if and raise you a few others.

What if the Chiefs players didn't care about their playoff seed, bet their first half under, and purposely only wanted to score 10 first half points?
What if the Broncos decided to put in a scrub to make a late hit on Mahomes and broke his throwing shoulder?
What if the Lock and the Broncos could read the Chiefs defense (like I did) and realized Gordon was probably going to get blasted by Ingram (like I did), and instead took a time out or called an audible, and then scored a touchdown?
What if I fucked a bat in China and was responsible for the creation and spread of Covid?

The field has thermal pipes under it and certainly they wanted to see if they could limit the speed advantage of the Chiefs by letting it melt everything into a fine slick slurry by leaving them on full-tilt. I also think that was why they basically held out Hill. It was a grinder game. I thought the Chiefs did pretty well trying to limit injuries in the conditions. The Broncos are not a bad team and should have been starting Lock all year and pounding the rock. That is a great defense they have that Mahomes pretty much carved up anyway.

I think Bridgewater is better than Lock.
But neither is a long term answer - their fired coach said as much in his final presser.

I'd make a play for Rodgers if he actually wants out. Good receiving core. Very good defense.

CnB would be happy with that scenario bc itd give his new coach a chance to go 10-7 and win the North.

Chiefs get Steelers.
Would be great to embarrass Rothlisberger in his final NFL game.

I was just looking at the standings and that is my understanding of where things are, we get the Steelers in KC. That seems as good a first round matchup as we could possibly get.

Get Steelers unless Raiders and Chargers tie (in which case Pittsburgh is out, Chargers are #6 and Raiders are #7).
