But wouldn't playing two years of college ball with a chance of playing only one year of college ball be better than sitting out a year and then playing one year of college ball for a guy like Grimes?
...or anyone wanting to play basketball

Good for him. He's applying for immediate eligibility.

I'm sure Self and staff will do everything they can to help his cause.

Even if the grounds for the waiver are based upon KU being in trouble(as I have seen speculated)?

I haven't seen that. If that's the case, then I would imagine not.

But if it's something about wanting to go home or whatever, I'm sure KU would work with that.

It wouldn’t surprise anyone if the NCAA fucks around about the waiver, right?

Kinda hard to win a waiver due to "I decided to transfer because my old school might or might not be in some sort of trouble next year or maybe some other year". Seems like that would set a precedent that virtually any transfer could try to utilize. The NCAA isnt very big on setting new precedent that could be manipulated by more transfers.

As a fan, can I get a waiver from the ‘Once a Jayhawks, Always a Jayhawk’ mantra in regards to Q?

But "likes" on tweets are just as damning as drawing up the tweet.

I’d have the same opinion without the posted tweet.

I think Q is doing the exact opposite of choosing to "go where you can grow, learn and be pushed."

well, he certainly is leaving a place where you can grown, learn and be pushed.

I am starting to hope his hardship application is denied and he has to sit out a year.

Are the rumors that he did not go to class true? If so, can he get eligible in time for the next semester?
