1. Cuse 03 ( free throws, blocked shot, and we were the better team )
2. Zona 97 ( 34-2!! )
3. RI 98 ( Raef forcing that 3 at the end, heart breaking )
4. VCU 11 ( tourney was ours for the taking )
5. UNI 10 ( wtf, we were really good this year )
6. Nova 16 ( played poorly, still in it )
7. Maryland 02 ( up 13-2, thought we had it )
8. Bucknell 05 ( i had just moved out of Kansas, Wayne Simien missed turnaround as a senior )
9. Mizzou Football 07 ( it wasn't a do or die game, still it was mizzou )
10. Oregon 17 ( we were in KC and had killed it the games prior )

The Glory Road game. It stings even on replay. Erased a great player’s legacy shot too.

2010 def hurt.

But, I dunno, as good and deep as that team was, it seemed like they never quite gelled. Xavier was on cruise control down the stretch, and too much of the time it became an overweight Sherron playing hero ball, for better or worse.

Plus it’s kind of a paradox but loosing in the first weekend doesn’t hurt quite the same as loosing in the Elite 8.

Several of the recent tournies have been crazy and crushing due to the wild three point shooting that killed KU. Starting with Arizona and continuing thru Nova last year. Different philosophies from Self. KU more consistent, but there always seem to be an Archwaycookiedopolos hitting guarded 35-footers.

The 2010 team was 32-2, 15-1 in conference and ran the B12 tournament.
The only bad loss in the regular season was @ OSU and we know how that goes.
It was arguably in the top 3 teams Self has had at Kansas.

You sure you're remembering 2010? We only lost two games that year before the tourney, a road game to a ranked Tenn team and at Okie State (of course), and mostly blow outs. I think Sherron was a hero the season before.
I only came to kick some ass...

100% think the UNI loss has created revisionist history about the 2010 team.

We were overwhelming favorite to win the national title when the tourney started.

Because Sherron Collins, who was an AA player that year, went hero ball and maybe had the worst game of the season.

By the end of that 2010 season our best player was arguably Marcus Morris.

Loosing to Duke in 91, I don't remember much of, except that we drew pictures of the Blue Devils with pitchforks in their heads on the chalkboard the day after we lost.

VCU was the worst for me. At least against Syracuse we had a chance to tie it. VCU kept us at about 10 point distance most of the game.

meh.

That was a great -- and entirely unexpected run. We had no business being in the championship game -- third year of the inexperienced coach's tenure; two years removed from being the only champion to be denied a defense.

The run was brilliant. The loss was...meh.

Yea, figured i'd throw it out there just in case some olds wanted to talk to it.
I guess you could compare it to 2012 Kentucky.

Yes. But instead of that year's Kentucky (defending and undefeated champs UNLV), we got another team that wasn't supposed to be there, Dook.

Bucknell and Bradley in consecutive years was rough. Two years of not really getting to enjoy the tournament sucked.
