Gee whiz kiddies!
A program (and school) that is being nailed for a "lack of institutional control" basically had their head coach and athletic director full out admit a "lack of institutional control" last night.
Right now many people are looking at our program and feel it's a fucking joke.
Some of you actually like that and think it's cool. Pfft!
Funny how I fully expect people to attack me - Go ahead but realize I'm not the problem kids. I'm just the messenger.

"We apologize for the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night," Long said in a statement. "We made it clear to the entertainers' managers that we expected a clean version of the show". "I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening."

"That's not the direction that anybody at our school would want that to go at all," Self said. "Regardless of the entertainment that it provided many, it was still not the right way to provide the entertainment."

Probably best not to ask me or others on this board. Maybe you should be asking the guys who felt the need to issue the public apologies.

Self was just practicing his "golly, gee, I had no idea that they were going to do THAT" answer for when the ncaa questions him about the actions taken by Adidas reps. This has just been one well choreographed show meant to highlight the absolute absurdity of the ncaa as an organization. Self was no more surprised by this than he was that Adidas gave money to a KU recruit.

The apologies are completely staged

They knew exactly what was happening. The apologies are for the parents who are offended that Little Bobby heard and saw it.

I'm good with Fuck you to the NCAA but you kinda have to think things through. The hype video and having Snoop perform with pole dancers and money gun probably not the best idea. Pole dancing at late nite lmao, really who in charge of PR????

Shooting money at the players was my biggest LOL moment.

But in the end, I’m with Gutter. Why seemingly invite a war?

I think we going to have a great team this year and without any distractions we could go out and win it all. Lets go play some basketball and let our winning put a whole different spin on this NCAA thing.
In other words lets go crush this year and we take care of the NCAA later.

Apologized on the crawler. Actually liked having Snoop last night. Puritanical hypocrisy is rife in America.

I don't have much of a problem with anything relating to Snoop Dogg. I know who he is and what he does.
I do have a problem when our head coach and A.D. feel a need to apologize to KU fans for getting exactly what they (the coach, A.D., and fans) should have been expecting.
Planned, not planned, whatever, it is more rotten egg on the collective KU Basketball face/s.
