Yeah, Winston's lack of NBA level athleticism would be a big red flag for me.

You can teach a guy to shoot, you can't teach speed.
After seeing Marcus Garrett for 3+ years, I'm not so sure about that.

I wonder if Garrett grew up playing on the block. I know he was a PG in HS, but that shot and form look like decades of coaches not caring about his perimeter shot.

That, and maybe some Devon Dotson syndrome, where he never had to much bother with a jumper cuz his first step just got him past most defenders anyway

Giannis kinda makes me think the same thing.

Ok, but there's a long list of players who started out as poor shooters who became good shooters over time.

Jason Kidd, Kawhi Leonard, Lebron, Kemba, Jordan, Magic, Drexler, Chauncey Billups.

Usually the best indicator is FT% and Dotson was above 80% last year.

Now for the list of slow guys who became fast:

Fwiw i wasn't saying dotson can't be a good shooter. I don't consider him to be a bad shooter as is tbh.

Well, Garrett has fucked up mechanics and Giannis has an anatomy that barely qualifies as human. Neither of those things are issues for Dotson.

Dok without the ticky-tack calls he got in college will be pretty awesome. It did seem unfair sometimes when he was on the floor healthy.

Had a thought earlier this morning.
Obviously Karnisovas and Eversley know what they are doing better than I do, and it's HIGHLY doubtful the Wolves or Warriors would do it, but why not try and move Porter, Markkanen, Satoransky, this year's 4th pick, next year's first rounder, and the 2022 first rounder, in some type of package deal to get the 1 or 2 pick (Wiseman) AND either Russell or Wiggins?
Hey, a man can dream.
Imagine this starting 5.
Wiseman, Russell or Wiggins, LaVine, White, and Carter Jr.
That would be a strong possibility to be the the 2nd or 3rd best starting 5 in the East. I'd be very happy with it.

Knicks are so Knicks-y. A team in dire need of an influx of talent and 8+ hours before the draft starts they trade away their #38 pick to move up from #27 to #23.
