In that case, what does "Make America Great Again", mean?
When do you (randy) think that America was Great, the last time? And what was Great that we want to replicate?

The former head of counterintelligence at the FBI’s New York office is in talks to plead guilty to charges relating to work he allegedly did for a sanctioned Russian oligarch after leaving the government, according to a court order.

Charles McGonigal was indicated earlier this year on charges, including violating US sanctions, conspiracy, and money laundering for working in 2021 with Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, who was sanctioned for interfering in the 2016 US presidential election. The same day McGonigal was charged in a separate case in Washington for concealing $225,000 he allegedly received from a former Albanian intelligence employee.

President Biden's watchful eye, draining the swamp and rooting out the deep state.

Thank's Joe, for doing what that previous guy couldn't or wouldn't, because he was too busy praising Putin and talking about fucking his own daughter.
I saw the worst minds of my generation empowered by madness, bloated farcical naked,
dragging themselves through the whitewashed streets at dawn looking for a grievance fix.

I'd think you'd love William Casey, Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign manager. He seems like your kind of guy:

...According to Ben Barnes, Casey met with Barnes and former Texas Governor John Connally in September of 1980 to discuss Connally's trip to the Middle East. During the trip, Connally asked Arab leaders to convey to the Iranian government that Iran should wait to release American hostages until after the election of 1980 was concluded. Barnes claimed that Casey discussed with Connally if the Iranians "were going to hold the hostages," possibly corroborating the October Surprise theory. The hostages were released minutes after Reagan was inaugurated as President.[14]

Ok, so when Trump tells us that the myriad prosecutions of his crimes are illegal, he’s telling us that he’s a criminal who wants to rule us.

Thank you for the reminder.

My assumption is that you are applying this backwards, acting as if what Trump is doing is exposing something. He isn't exposing anything.

What Dems are doing is exposing his crimes and THEY are being treated as if they are instead committing crimes themselves. They aren't.

It's not a crime to expose what Trump has done.

Trump is being prosecuted for improperly handling classified documents because a duly-convened federal grand jury found probable cause to indict him for improperly handling classified documents.

Trump is being prosecuted for being part of a conspiracy to obstruct the federal election because a duly-convened federal grand jury found probable cause to indict him for being part of a conspiracy to obstruct the federal election.

Trump is being prosecuted for being part of a conspiracy to falsify the results of Georgia's portion of the federal election because a duly-convened Georgia grand jury found probable cause to indict him for being part of a conspiracy to falsify the results of Georgia's portion of the federal election.

Trump may be prosecuted for other things, like improperly disseminating classified materials, or engaging in activities related to falsifying other states' portions of the federal election, or defrauding donors based on false pretenses (that the federal election was "stolen" from him). Those prosecutions would all arise from duly-convened grand juries finding probable cause.

And so on.

Trump is not being prosecuted for being an idiot, or even for lying in and of itself. Nor is Trump being treated unfairly within the contexts of each of those prosecutions; if anything, go find me 10 or 100 or 1000 people who have been indicted for similar crimes, and review their release conditions and restrictions, and compare those with Trump's.

He is being given EVERY conceivable privilege. He is getting ALL conceivable special treatment.

Good lord you guys are obsessed with trump. My post didn't say a single thing about trump

Are you even familiar with the Snowden situation?

That happened well before trump. The problems within our government began well before trump was even in politics

Every government has problems. Keeping our democracy safe is the issue with right wing crazies and cranks spreading crap everywhere. Snowden broke the law. In fact, he broke a lot of laws and spied for our enemies. Ran to the Putin hills too

You feel the government is ineffective? Sure, to some degrees it isn't but in other ways it sure as heck is.
Right? Or do you feel I am wrong?

There is a fine article about Musk and the takeover of key government agencies and processes by libertarian nonsense peddlers in the the NYT today. A lot of what people blame the government for are processes no longer run by the government. Musk's Starlink fiasco is the centrrpiece of the story where he essentially cut of Ukrainian communications at a critical point in their offensive last year and got numerous people killed. Helped stall the war too. Wait until Gorsuch and co. rescind regulatory protection for the air and water that Randy takes for granted. A government of and for the people is the opposite of his memes. Indeed, they break government then blame broken government. I expect another idiotic government shutdown for theater.

Randy and his set want it both ways; they're antigovernment, but also anticorporate. If the government doesn't provide basic infrastructure and services...who exactly does Randy think WILL provide those things? And who exactly will...let's not use the R word...who exactly will oversee those providers?

What government services are deficient? What needs do you have that are unmet? What policies or regulations exist that deny you safety and success? What are your political heroes doing to shape these improvements?
I would like the rich to pay their share of taxes. High speed electric rail. Universal health care. Universal education to whatever level one is capable. Ungerrymandered districts. Better voter protection. Better civil rights protection. Better gun control.
