He will still end up getting himself 25 and 12 so he will look like he isn't the problem. What we have to do to get him that leads to losses.
No. If we had a second or third option we would be more difficult to defend. If someone else could get 25, we'd be more versatile. It's not like lawson isn't letting his teammates shoot.
Right.
Where are all the other points going to come from?
I’d love for Garrett to “get his”.

Those turnovers and lack of rebounds in the first half killed us.

Man, do you guys not watch him? He is so slow footed and weak that he cannot get himself position against most of these guys he goes against on good teams. Our offense has to grind to a halt to wait for him to get in there, establish position and get the ball. And that's the worst possible guy to have to get it to when you're a young perimeter team that is still too close to their HS days that they forget about passing angles.

I’ll agree the drive from Dedric is lacking at points but we really relied on him and he’s talented.

A senior Lawson >>>>> a freshman Hurt.

If New Mexico had hit there free throws we wouldnt either. But this team was gonna get smoked at some point, Auburn was just the team that got the first shot.

Collins got almost 20 ppg in a mediocre team, then the next year got 15 on a really good team. Basically the same with lawson. He's not getting numbers at the expense of the team, he's getting them cause no one else can.

I do watch him be the only consistent scorer on our team.

It’s be nice to get this to 14 points.
I’d take that.

Can this team avoid the worst tournament (margin) loss in KU history?

Grimes is a turnover machine man.

“This kid woulda made 100 3s. Dedric Lawson was their first best player. That was their second and third best players.”

Yup.

I hope Grimes doesn't make an announcement he's coming back. Don't get me wrong I want him to come back, I just don't want him to think he needs to announce it.

Depends on when Cassius Stanley announces. If he chooses before Grimes and it's not KU then yes. He will get better over the summer and start hitting near a college average next year.

Well, at least we lost by less than Nova did.

One positive note, I actually have a little excitement for KU football now...not a lot, but there is a pulse, something to look forward to...and chiefs of course

You’re definitely way more right on this than twocoach. But, I do think dedric’s numbers are rather superficial. I’d take him back but his impact doesn’t match the raw stats. He needs guys around him.
