Sort of like assuming I am a republican here to "own the libs", rather than paying attention to the multiple times I have pointed out I am currently registered as a Dem. Just because I am comfortable being critical of Dems doesn't make me a Pub.
have you seen the way the dems are ru(i)nning this country. a gallon of gasoline has topped $8.00 per in los angelos ca.

they are making it easy. in the last calendar week janet yellen admitted she didn't see it coming. in the last calendar week uncle joe admitted he didn't see it coming. and now that it is here, he says there is nothing he can do about it.

they are making it easy.
It's hilarious to me that the mouth breathers think that Biden has responsibility for or control over fuel prices.

You do know that oil companies are freaking rolling in the dough, right?
Special kind of stupid.

people acting on emotion rather than critical thought
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

its not the dems but it is partially the government.

We slowed gas production to increase diesel production.

And then.....exported diesel.
So, the Government produces and sells petroleum products?
Not directly. But yes, they have tools at their disposal to drive what is being produced and where its going.

you're not stupid. Don't play stupid to encourage a pointless argument.

I am not playing stupid, and that is a shitty thing to say.

I know a lot of Texans that are more than happy with the current state of affairs with regards to fuel prices though.

And, one would actually have to be stupid to think that the oil lobby isnt pretty happy too.

The discussion was whether Joe Biden is responsible for the spike in fuel prices, no?

He probably popped out of bed and told Jill “you know what could REALLY fuck up my legacy….”

and I said the government is partially responsible.

The government can be partially responsible and the Texas oilers can be happy fat cats

These things aren't mutually exclusive.

I feel like I've had this discussion before.

Some states have high taxes on fuel.
Ironically, most of these states have great roads and / or beautiful scenery.
Not IL.

Crappy roads.

Crappy scenery.

Yes.
Of course a lot has to do with taxes.
In much of the city (Chicago) people are paying close to $7 a gallon.
Boonies it's closer to $5.

"A 16-year-old boy was arrested this week after police learned he was allegedly recruiting students to carry out a mass shooting at a high school in Berkeley, California, authorities said Wednesday.
Police received a tip on May 21 of the teen's alleged plot targeting Berkeley High School, which also included a possible bombing, and obtained a search warrant for his home, Berkeley Police said in a statement.
The search turned up parts to explosives and assault rifles as well as several knives and electronic items that could be used to create weapons, police said. "

Seems like we are overflowing with nutbags who own guns and want to murder people with them.
