He was dangling that "fraud" card since 2015. Stand back stand by. Such an ass.

I still go back to wondering how quickly senate republicans would have acted to remove a potus who incited insurrection if that potus was a dem.

Could you imagine?

Heck, I wonder how many witnesses they woulda called at the trial if Obama had asked a foreign leader to interfere in our elections.

It is just batshit crazy that, at bottom, the principle the GOP is willing to establish in order to avoid pissing some people off is: a president can do whatever he wants so long as he is replaced or resigns prior to the Senate holding an impeachment trial.

Which is the ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME sequel to last February's smash hit: it's fine for a president to use the powers of his office for personal gain.

Valid observation, except it needs one clarification.

It’s not just “some people” they’re trying to avoid pissing off.

It’s the majority of their voters.

Maybe a majority, maybe not. The House is clearly crazier than the Senate, and only about 1/4 of House pubs voted to remove Cheney? That's probably as good of a proxy as we have.

it’s still kind of shocking to me how much pub representatives are willing to bend to the will of the mob...reality be damned

They couldn't give a shit about reality or policy or anything except power. And the nature of the House is that your position of power is always up for reelection.

Being a coward and sitting out the vote would result in the same response. They would be voted out by the Trump Mob portion of their constituents. Trump's brainwashed sycophants aren't going to get duped on a technicality.

The vast majorityof Republicans who have spoken against Trump have been voted out. I am merely aware of reality.

I'll save you all the suspense -- nothing is going to happen. It's just impossible.
