It was a full switch in the MLS to be more English. It happened at the same time. It was dumb.

They will always be the Wiz.
Just like in five years when they decide the Chiefs can’t be called that and will be called the Monarchs, I will call them the Chiefs.

Counterpoint: the Wiz was a horrible name to start with - which is why it lasted one year. I was initially underwhelmed by the rebrand (not really English like everyone else at least), but it has grown on me. One of the initial selling points was it wasn't just going to be MLS. They were gonna have a lacrosse team, a rugby team - you know, a sporting club. But other than a couple light partnerships that hasn't happened. And they completely punted on saving FC Kansas City. I'm not in KC, so I certainly don't know the details, but that was disappointing.

I thought it was hilariously bad that it was good. Their jerseys were ridiculous and righteous.

I can't remember, and I don't want my eyes to burn by googling for images of them...but did they have the 'pop' collars on them?

Martinez equalizer last night was pretty righteous. He plays for a team uniforms as well. Worst part of Messi going to Miami is having to watch that stadium and unis as he plays. Yuck.

Path to the finals lined up pretty nicely for the second team.

The World Cup Final in 2026 in the Rose Bowl would be absolutely electric.

It's going to be down the way @SoFi, but everyone knows that.

I was in NY for a 0-0 USA v Argentina tie in front of 80,000 fans at Giants stadium.

It was as loud as an Arrowhead game.

Yes, it will be SoFi, but it needs to be outdoors, on grass in a beautiful area. It's a 90,000 seat stadium. In a big city to handle all the traffic and accommodations.

Not sure if Gutter ever reads this board, but the Rapids have one of his relatives starting tonight.

Gutman.

He was off balance if it was his shot. Hometown players have given added energy. Kinda seem to have Canada reeling a bit

Evened out the exceptional good luck on first half when he had a worse handball.

That wasn’t a handball in the first half.
Alexi Lalas is a moran.
