where's that one story where some 6'10" 240 center's coach told him to really get up in Wilt's business. Just play him physical and try and wear him down.

He thought he was doing well and wearing down Wilt until Wilt finally just picked up the 240 pound dude and moved him out of the way -- with one arm.

On the other hand I say athleticism is important but may be overrated. Bruce Jenner was one the best athletes in my lifetime. My guess is he would be a horse shit NBA player.

Bruce Jenner also wasn't 7'1" with a 7'8" wingspan

We've had some BAD weather in the city.

Haha we started EARLY....then got heavy rain for a while so I went to pick up stuff from my daughters school and home for a bit....now we are back out here for an afternoon 18.

...but yes a bad band of storms came thru here...the morning stuff was a little north. I could see on the radar the Chicago was getting slammed for a while.

Absolutely I feel Jenner's athleticism helped him in the sports in which he participated. Just as I believe it helps most if not all professional athletes - in the sports in which they participate.
The point I was trying to make (poorly) is exactly what you pointed out. That being a great athlete in one sport doesn't necessarily translate to being a great athlete in another.
Anyways, I'm having a difficult time explaining myself and I am not disagreeing with you - so let's please move along.........
