No, I'm telling you how I'd run my business. Price can do whatever he wants and I respect him for sticking to his principles.

Like you, when I find out something like the guy who invented the big mac never got a share of the sales, or even a raise, I find it appalling.

Your solution though, is that every McD's employee shares equally in the proceeds.

Mine is that you reward the inventor specifically for his efforts, and give him some type of equitable share in the profits. You don't just give everyone who put on a visor and polo shirt an equal share in the product invented by one person.

Is that my solution?

Yeah, but you didn't really read my post, then did you? Because I also said, he's probably UNDERpaying some of them. The top performing employees should make MORE than 70k.

And it is what you've said. You like that Price pays everyone the same wage. You'd probably love tip sharing rather than have the top servers earn more than the underperforming ones.

My guess is that the owner put up the original capital to start the business and probably went through years where he busted his hump and lost money. It's his business and he gets to run it the way he sees fit now.

The great thing about America is that, if you feel like you are being treated unfairly, you are free to go start your own business and do what you want, too. Just don't expect the rest of us to subsidize your lifestyle if you choose to sit on the couch smoking weed and playing XBox instead of working.
