And thats fine. But for people who are comfortable with the tool, (Because that's what a gun is, a tool, nothing more or less), why should they be banned from carrying them out there just because other people are uncomfortable with handling them.

I thought about carrying for protection in bear country, but then I realized I’m more afraid of the gun than the bear.
Have you seen those flares for bears? Oughttabe pretty effective.

My father had a .38 and I kept it after he died. No ammo for it.

Having been shot (accidentally by cop), I can tell you that I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
