Please enlighten me...what environmental regulations that have been rolled back are going to irreversibly ruin the planet in the next 2 years before they can be reimplenented?

I've seen some that are troubling...but will there be significant damage before his time is up? A lot of the stuff he rolled back hadn't been implemented for very long, right?

Not trying to argue, I'm asking a genuine question...so save the insults. Some of us aren't know it alls.

my personal opinion, is that the changes to water regulations, and the ways in which waterways are defined, is going to have the longest lasting impact.

if you really care about having an informed discussion, and not just bring argumentative and stirring the pot, then enlighten yourself. google was pretty easy to use last time i checked.

Thank you for sharing. And being genuine. And not needing to call people names. I will read thru all your links so that I'm more informed on this stuff.

(Spoke too soon, but thanks anyway)

I am curious what point do you think that article makes? Do you think that it shows that all of the impacts of the pollution are now "done"?

No.

But you brought up Flint in regard to Trump. And Flint started in 2014...and then said something about a bunch of dead people trying to pin those on trump.

Jesus . I brought up Flint as an example of the lasting impacts of contaminations to our water system. Not that it happened under Trump.

Sad that Trump and Pelosi are doing this. Sure seems like a lot of other people on both sides are trying to find some common ground and compromise. There are no winners in this. Just a bunch of losers, who happen to be the innocent govt workers.

“It’s run into some difficulties," conceded Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), another Republican trying to end the stalemate. “It’s very difficult when we’re dealing with people who do not want to budge at all in their positions and that’s the president and Speaker Pelosi. They’re each very dug in on their position and that’s made this very difficult to resolve.”

Because they're digging in their heels and refusing to allocate funds for a project they actually voted for 12 years ago?

Well, why didn't the House pass it back then? Shit, why didn't they even VOTE on it? Yet another good piece of legislation allowed to die on the floor of the House of Reps at the hands of Republicans simply because Obama supported it?

Among the requirements: 20,000 more border agents, 700 miles of fence along the border with Mexico, and $3.2 billion in technology upgrades for border patrol.

The House will not vote on the Senate immigration reform bill, Speaker John Boehner reiterated for the umpteenth time on Monday.

“I’ve made it clear, and I’ll make it clear again: the House is not going to take up the Senate bill. The House is going to do its own job in developing an immigration bill,” Ohio Republican Boehner said at a press conference ...

They did vote on it. And they did pass it. And president GEORGE W. BUSH did sign it into law (The Secure Fence Act of 2006). Obama, Clinton, and Schumer all voted for it. It was supposed to create 700 miles of double-layer fencing (steel slats, like Trump's latest concession). The double-layer part was amended in 2008.

It's an obvious BS argument and you know it. If this was a decent idea it would have been past already. It's a dumb fucking idea and just because Dems were going to get shit in return years ago means dick outside of political talking points.

Trump shit the bed on this one and most can see that.

I don't think you're assessing the political climate -- especially on the Left -- particularly accurately.
