Norm paraphrased

“He’s doing good. He’s fine. He’s receiving great care. He’s getting better and doing well.”
“I don’t remember anything he said, but it was a very memorable speech.” Julian Wright on a speech Michael Jordan gave to a group he was in

"But don’t ever get it twisted, it’s Rock Chalk forever." MG

He should have been a politician...

Dude barely looks like he can run. I'd sit him.

Probably me as well.
Doesn’t change the fact that Vernon is grasping at straws.

Self will not coach this weekend. Did not suffer a heart attack. Was admitted in ER and underwent a standard procedure.

Self quoted as saying, "I'm excited to get back with my team in the very near future"

Me, personally, I'd hope we're going at least 9/10 on the conservative scale here. Tournaments come and tournaments go. I want 10-15 more of them with Bill.

Selfishly I do too.

But asking someone to do a job like this into their 70s is asking a lot. Tons of personal sacrifice for guys in these high profile positions.

He's given all we could ask for, and more. I hope he's here to chase the wins record (and another title or three), but I'd also be satisfied whenever it is he decides to hang it up.

Speaking of chasing wins records. Boheims weird retirement made me wonder if he told Cuse he'd coach as long as they'd let him to chase the wins record and they said "no thanks, we don't want to lose our next guy so you can spend another 5 or 6 years trying to catch K".

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Capel has done a hell of a job at Pitt.

Sort of hope he wins it over Tang or Shaka.

Absolute hilarity that a guy who is very clearly the #1 dude over the last 20 years...has won two (2) national COYs, and six (6) conference COYs.

Kansas math, baby.

this seems like worst case to me. sounds more like angina/chest pain, resulting in hospitalization, and placement of a stent, which means he'll be back in a couple of weeks if he chooses. let's hope so.
