I know. I agree.

That extra gear of "want" is what has turned Embiid into a top 5 NBA player. Wiggins has never had that and it's not something that is easy to just "turn on".
i admittedly don’t watch much nba at all, but (and i’m just realizing this now) generally have zero desire to watch Wiggs (vs. Embiid, Braun, and others)…maybe this why
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The 1 year thing impacts it for me. I generally feel less invested interest wise in guys like Wiggins or say Josh Jackson compared to guys like Svi Och Devonte Twins etc etc.

Embiid is the lone exception and his talent has a lot to do with it. I will say Embiid has felt more connected to KU post college career than Wiggins has for whatever reason.

I definitely still "like" Wiggins, just not as much some of the other former KU guys.

^^^ To both posts.

I've never thought about it, but Wiggins generally uninspired play is probably why he's toward the bottom, (along with Josh Jackson), of the former Hawks I'll stop to watch. Embiid is the player I'm interested in the most, I guess, and his games are on much more frequently than Braun's games here. And with the 76ers, there's now the likelihood of catching Oubre and McMorris, too.

Oubre's an active, committed guy you find yourself pulling for. Some of the people who review the games say he's really found a good situation for himself in Philly, and the 76ers should sign him to a contract before he draws too much more attention.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I found it very interesting and wanted to share it.

Aug 22, 2023 For 10 seasons with the Utah Jazz, Greg Ostertag could be funny, feisty and even frustrating.

"I think that would be the thing that drove people mostly crazy about me, because I was very inconsistent," Ostertag said.

It's been 17 years since he last played for the Jazz. Today, he's living his dream in a tiny Texas town. We went to visit Greg, who talks about his family, the unusual animals on his farm, and why he still gets choked up about former Jazz coach Jerry Sloan. Watch his story to see what the former Jazz center is up to now.

I only saw the first 15 minutes or so of the 76ers win over the Rockets yesterday, but after essentially never seeing Kelly Oubre play in the NBA before this year, I've been catching him frequently and he's a pleasure to watch. He works hard, is active as hell, deflects passes, runs the floor, fights for rebounds and shares the ball. Really nice to see.

So the 4 steals yesterday doesn't surprise me.
