I hate to be a broken record, lol jk I don't give a shit, but there ARE a lot of good pieces on this roster that mean absolutely nothing if we don't get an above average PG. The offense was hard to watch all season. I think Harris is good and by the time he's a senior we're looking at a very good player, but not now and not next season either.

Harris will have more confidence.

Top 10 team with potential to be top 4.
This team had next to nothing reliable down low
This is a pretty bad take.
DMac shot what 56% in 2021?

I'm not convinced Harris ever gets there.

Definitely bring other PG's in and if Harris beats them out over the next few seasons, great.

What if it’s Marcus Garrett and we bring in TyTy Washington?

That’s a good point about Dave.

His footwork could improve. Learn to score before you get the ball, rather than collect every time you get the ball then try to score with some awkward spin move.

Dave improved a lot as the season went on but I still had a panic attack anytime he frantically started backing someone down. He always looks like he's about to lose control of the ball even though he's just dribbling in one spot.

Did you ever feel confident when he shot, dribbled or made a post move? He was fine for what we had to work with but he needs some help. This team, including him, was a missed layup, bunny factory. It was like watching the 07 elite eight game half the time.

Guess who this team is playing through next year?

Yep.

That Dave...

I haven't once this season thought Marcus was coming back next year.

But he was our leading scorer for the latter half and led the Big 12 in FG%.

He’ll be better than that next year which is pretty good.

Ideally Ochai or Jalen are our leading scorers with DMac a close second.

Yes.
Often down the stretch.
I think a lot of people had an impression of him to start the season ( justly so ) but when he got to his spots, he was pretty money.

I think it is clear that, whatever Bill's offense has evolved to, it needs an aces lead guard to make it work.

Or not having the 100-something-ith and 200-something-ith recruits as your starting wings.

I’d expect him to make another leap to a 1st team B12 guy. He needs to time his rebounding better.

Well, Im happy you were able to enjoy it, lol. Ive never felt less confident about any big man I don't think that who was the main big in our lineup. I wish him the best next season though. I’ll be happy to be wrong if he dominates.

Preferably two. I know it's not as easy as "rebuild some of the best teams KU has ever had" but Mario/Russ, Frank/Devonte, Devonte/Malik are really a model for how this is supposed to work.

I don’t see Dave being any better next season, TBH. Maybe he starts to rebound better, but this is who he is...

That said, I have much bigger worries with this roster than McCormack.

Ty and Elijah were also nails for 2.5 months.

IMO, the single most important current player for next year is Agbaji. This guy has to go out with a major bang. None of this scoreless half, 3-13 shit in win or go home games.
