PhD gave him the benefit of the doubt to counter your somewhat trollish question( obviously Sparko was referring to what PhD clarified in the post after ). He didnt say hed hang a banner. Nor did I. And then you continue to try and minimize KUs accomplishment on a KU message board.

Now you're welcome to do that but you probably shouldn't get confused or defensive when someone calls you out on it.

I didn't say they were better than us or anything even remotely close to give off that impression.

I said how shitty it was for their players/fanbases that the year they had all time great teams (for those programs) the tournament got called off.

In this hypothetical banner situation what's the banner say? National champion? Is the designation of "national champion" made by the NCAA/recognized by all schools or is it just decided by KU?

If it's designated by the NCAA, and recognized by the other member institutions as legit like every other year, then by all means hang the banner...but it's been a few years and it hasn't happened, but we know things take lots of time with them so maybe there's hope yet.
