I feel bad for the kid. Wish he could play against us.
I do not wish that at all. I don't want players to get hurt, but I will take every centimeter given to us.
pretty much this
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I wish all of our opponents every manner of hangnail, charley horse, splinter, rash, and so on.

I'm glad KU didn't have a really hot-shooting game last night; those types of games usually don't run two games straight.

But you do you.
They were all 4 worthy of top10 plays.

Not sure why you're always negative toward Remy, but whatever. If you weren't impressed/entertained by him 5 or 6 times last night, you've got a problem.

Dude was a 1 man highlight reel.
Come on dude get a grip. Glad pdub is bringing you back to reality. Yes remy had some nice passes last night. But 4 assists against a 16 seed and you seriously said it was the best passing youve seen in college since magic.... big LOLOL

I agree. Never wish injury on anybody. And hell who knows, Dave mightve played better against a true big than he will against their smaller players

I want him to do well.
I dont like that type of player.
Hes a showboat.

I have an inkling Self also doesnt like showboats. And it has affected his PT this season.

I'm rooting for him though bc it helps us.

I'm pretty sure Bill knew what he was getting into with Remy; he's played "flashy" for most of his time in college.

We’ve had so many Bill Self vanilla players come through here and get punked in the tournament. Last year a great example.

Guys that let their shit hang often kill in the tourney.

Fine line between a showboat and a guy who let's his nuts hang.

Remy may have been the former in November and grown into the latter now.

Remy with confidence can hit 50 points. We have been plagued with guys who play scared in March. The upsets came from not being confident or tough. Remy has swagger. I loved that Och was flat-out trying to score too. For the randy: Remy was other-worldly through traffic against a quick team. TSU has maybe two scorers. But long arms and physical play on defense. It was awesome focus.

My only fan gripes with Bill is that he personally tightens up in the tourney and he stubbornly sticks to a predictable brand of ball that has gone out of style. Predictable, efficient, get-it-to-the-open-man basketball wins you 81% of your games with good players, but predictability is bad in a single elimination tournament. We've seen way too many of our teams be too easy to guard and look like different teams in this thing.

Och was told he was too predictable and to work on new stuff. CB is a rotation player when he's not being a jerk. Sherron, Tyshawn, Remy, et al. are great for Bill's personality in March.

Except when we play other elite teams (duke unc, msu) and he turns into ubercoach

That's a very good and very fair point (sans jay wright). His record against Top 5 looks fake. He loves that shit.

Pressure is off against elite schools. We throw down. We are so spoiled that Kansas on the jersey means so much to opponents.

Probably going back to magic for all levels of ball, like you said.
Aaron Miles and Jacque Vaughn did that stuff weekly.
No doubt they did, but not as many in the same game. Remy looked like the best guard in the country last night.

exactly.

If it were routine for guys to have 4 spectacular passes in one game like that, there'd be a dozen YouTube clips proving me wrong.
