It's just not the same now that they are not in the same conference.

I dunno where you all are from but I will have a "blood thirsty i hate your guts" rival forever.
They wear Black and Gold and their state burned the town I was born in to the ground.

i appreciate that sentiment, and my disdain for the state definitely remains

misery, to me, is more like statie…it’s embarrassing to loose but with a casual expectation to win. that’s not the case for who i feel is our biggest rival currently, uk

we actually compete with them for recruits, nattys, and things like all-time wins…not just bragging rights

For me, it's easy to tell the difference.

If we beat Kentucky, it's, take that Cal, good win, we just distanced our most wins all time another notch.
If we beat MIZZOU, the rest of the day is brighter, my week is suddenly better.

If we loose to Kentucky, it's, ah well, fuck Cal.
If we loose to MIZZOU my week is ruined.

I hate playing MIZZOU but if we have to, I watch one or two KU games with a UNC grad up here -- I picked MIZZOU over Kentucky to watch with him ( or any other game ).

Granted Honolulu Hawaii isn't your home town but I am wondering - do you hate Japan?
Also, the state of Missouri didn't burn down your town. At least the state didn't burn it to the ground in your lifetime.

*** EDITED

Ok, fair enough. I'll edit it and give it two more Gutters/DeVitos.

I was born in Germany. That’s not good for me as far as who I’m supposed to ‘hate’.

And lived in Honolulu for 3 years, with a house 5 down from mine with bullet holes from the PH attack. (Google fort kamehameha to see where I lived, was a pretty sweet place to have to opportunity to live. Literal ocean front property).

Damn it!

Finally, though, I’m too old now to have any kind of white hot disdain for any sports team. Too many other important things going on for all that. On this same note, didn’t those dudes that raped and pillage Lawrence hole up in Jackson county, where the two main professional franchises many people here love call home?

^^^

I started to watch it, but Az nearly doubled MS's score early so I turned away.

Tuned back with a little over a minute to go and things had tightened bigly.

Jesus fucking christ. bunch of fucking prima donna babies.

we should treat them better and pay them. I'm sure they'll have more respect, try harder, and play all out if only we paid them and coddled them more.

He probably would have also told Naismith he wasn't going to participate in the first game in history because a peach basket wasn't something he'd consider shooting at.

2nd time NU beat a #1 Purdue team in the year 2023.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... rdue-again

Ty Berry had 21 points. 7 in OT.

For those of you who don't know (my guess is most of you), Ty is the son of former KU Football player Tony Berry (I was in school and friends with) who passed away a couple of years ago.

This was one of Tony's last tweets.....
