He'll wipe his tears with 100 dollar bills.

For sure.
At the very worst, he's 20th pick and making 2.5 mill his first year.

Then Udeh hasn't made the improvements I'm anticipating.
Either that or KJ hasn't.
KJ was a far better 5 than Udeh this past year. I would expect him to be a slightly better 5 than Udeh next year. But to have our best players on the floor we need KJ to improve enough to be able to play the 4.
If he hasn't, I think another year of KJ at the 5 might happen.
Yes, but it's also not just about being better in a vacuum. Sometimes it's who's better at the specific things you need.

I agree with what you're saying but I expect Udeh to be a better rim runner, rim protector, and rebounder. And we need those things from the 5. And as you're alluding to. Hopefully KJ is working on the things that allow him to play the perimeter more (shooting, ballhandling, etc.).
Yeah, I think we're saying the same thing

I’m gonna go full Sparko but I think officials in college are very quick to call fouls on freshmen bigs.

Udeh experienced that first hand.
And now with the combo of him learning better how to defend and just his not being a freshman, I expect him to be a stud at our 5.

Stud or not, I'll be happy if he just blocks shots (without fouling), dunks everything he can, and rebounds.

Not upset the 2023/2024 team will be Dickless.

#4s who were more valuable to the KU program in my lifetime.....

Devonte Graham
Sherron Collins
Nick Collison
Ryan Robertson
Clint Normore. Seriously. He scored 7 points and had 4 assists in a National Championship game.

I'm hoping Zuby takes a big sophomore leap so we can combinations of 3 athletic bigs in the rotation.

Lol. Its an obvious joke. So several years back Greg Marshall was still coaching wsu. And that literally happened.

So a guy named Austin reeves started his career at wsu, fucked Greg marshalls daughter, and was later forced to transfer when Marshall got upset and ran him off

Reeves ended up at OU, is now on the Lakers playing good ball

A. Self didn't have a heart attack.
B. YOU don't know if he was fucking Marshall's daughter.
C. YOU don't know if he was "forced" to transfer.
D. His name last name isn't Reeves.

I hear McCullar is leaning towards returning. That would be welcomed. Certainly could use his experience, toughness, rebounding, defense and leadership

I know he was fucking marshals daughter. She was a hot college girl that "enjoyed college"

Marshall got bitter about one of his players banging his daughter, which shouldn't be surprising, Marshall had a shitty attitude about everything.

Those 2 things happened

The bit about self and mj rice was clearly a joke I said that

And you're right his last name is spelled with an a

I know there are countless viewpoints on one-year players.

Anymore, with portal, and the seeming trend of most non-gratified (getting enough playing time) players to move on, is it better policy to chase Dick types, or those like Yesufu, Rice, Pettiford….who, had they split those Dick minutes, might feel that staying at KU would be a better opportunity for them.

I know the simple answer is always go for the best possible players, but don’t think it’s necessarily corr3ct.

I would too. And it seems most likely to do so among him and Dick and Wilson, too, considering this might be the highest profile ball Kevin ever plays again. Short of inking an NBA deal, he prob stands to make more in a year of NIL than playing anywhere else.

But, since every silver lining's got a touch of grey -- if Kevin DID return, then between him, Dajuan, KJ, and Big Ern that's 3, probably 4 presumable starters who still aren't scorers.

but, also the chance another year in the system brings out another level in Kevin yet, which is among the reasons why I'd still take him back.
