Off topic, but I think Buffalo might be the surprise success team this year. They've been kind of quietly playing good ball this whole year.

I like this Tennessee team. They believe in themselves and their team mate's. And, they just beat UK!

Jesse Newell on what NCAA might consider in choosing whether KU or Tech goes to Tulsa — how well they finished season vs strength of schedule.

Tennessee got their ass handed to them today. Didn't see that one coming.

Did you know Auburn beat them about 10 days ago?
I didn't think they would get their asses handed to them and I did think they would win today but I'm hardly surprised they didn't.

Going to be a crazy tournament.

Would you be surprised if you this result happened and I told you Harper was 1-11 from the field?

Buffalo has a legit team that plays unselfish and has lots of solid upperclassmen. The committee has set up a stinger:
Buffalo's Nate Oats was an assistant under Bobby Hurley before Hurley went to Arizona State. The two could meet if ASU beats St. John's in the First Four.

I like Oats, liked him since watching him clown Sean Miller last year. He’s got a lot of potential, and I would’ve considered him over Hurley if I were UConn.

He’s also got a good team this year, but that said, they won’t be sneaking up on anyone this time.

I just don't think Los Angeles is good for a guy with a heart condition. Just sayin'.

Because of stress?

He coached in the NBA. For the Bulls. UCLA would be at worst equally stressful—id argue less so. If he could handle his heart issues there he could in Cali.

Or is it because the towing situation out there is so much worse?

He will get the same money at Nebraska, which is like making triple when you factor in cost of living in Lincoln vs. Los Angeles. A million bucks probably buys a little starter house in a gross neighborhood in LA. It buys a mansion in the best school district in Lincoln.

He also was born in Lincoln and grew up a Nebraska football fan.

But, if recruiting truly is something Hoiberg hates, then he can't go to Nebraska. I'm not sure that there's a power conference school that would be any harder to recruit to.
