Well, this sucks. We need reps with Doke in the game. He needs to learn not to foul.
I'm of course very curious seeing us play without him as we score the easiest when we're running and can create turnovers on defense by switching every screen. But, Doke is a weapon and this team needs to figure how to best use him.

This will be our starting lineup for the next 6-8 weeks. The question is, will it still be the starting lineup through league play?

If Dok is healthy he plays.
Dumb question.
Dok is a force and it doesn’t help us in any significant way that he’s out.

Athletes that don't have access to world class training and rehab facilities usually look at six months for a severe high ankle sprain (IMO sprain is a misleading term - there is ligament damage involved). My guess is that Dok will be on crutches or most likely a walking boot. Depending on the severity of the injury and how aggressive rehab is that could be four months for Dok.
In the 'short' term I do believe it will free up the offense, and maybe the defense as well. This team was struggling to figure out its identity, especially on offense when Dok and Dedric were in the game.
My next opinion contradicts my first point but this team is better with Dok on the floor and like cNb had mentioned in other threads (or this thread) KU does need to figure out how to incorporate Dok for extended minutes on the floor. This injury does set that back timeline.

A sprain is an injury to a ligament (tissue that connects two or more bones at a joint). When a sprain happens, one or more ligaments is stretched or torn.
