At WVU in week 2 is certainly interesting. If KU can find a way to win that game and start 2-0, the season could start with quite the bang considering the next 4 games after that are some of the easier ones on the schedule. All Saturday games is also nice.
4 teams with new head coaches: Duke, TCU, OU, and Tech. Duke could be really interesting because rumor is they want Jason Garrett.

Sevion Morrison from Nebraska is joining an already crowded backfield. Mason Ellis was previously committed to North Dakota State. Hopefully he's and under the radar, late bloomer. Otherwise, not really impressed with that pick up.

Ellis is an interesting prospect. He's big for a safety at 6'2 and is supposedly impressively fast with a 4.4 40-yard dash. I would guess he'll be the type of player that, if he pans out, we won't really see it until he's a junior or so.

As for Morrison, well, you can never have too many RBs. We were loaded there this year and that depth ended up being tested in a big big way.

Ellis, will also be a grey shirt so he is a guy they are wanting to 'stash' away and develop.

I was told that this staff wanted to go out and get another RB. Well they got one. Former **** and was the #2 player coming out of the state of Oklahoma. What we see last season was you can never have to much depth at RB.

A couple weeks ago a couple KU coaches were in Louisville to meet with Hassan Hall, an RB that entered the portal from there. Guessing the Morrison commitment means the staff will back off of Hall since they likely were only looking to add one RB.

I'm guessing that as well. Probably told him we are recruiting multiple guys at your position and have a spot for only one more. Take it or leave it. Hall, has more experience but Morrison could be around longer and probably has the higher upside.

Still in the running for a couple of instant upgrades at LB. That is a must have for next year.

Bryce Torneden was a North Dakota State commit at DB until he came to Kansas. Turned into a Honorable Mention All-Big 12 player.

Just got a backup Ohio State S/LB.

On top of Nebraska RB.

On top of Michigan State CB.

And some high school kids committed recently too.

Seems like Leipold focused on getting through the year, and then is going ALL OUT on transfers and high school kids.

Also got a transfer OL that Leipold and Fuchs recruited to Buffalo.

Is that the kid Zebrowski wanted who originally committed to Old Dominion? Wonder if Easters or Hawley may transfer.

I said this on here earlier this year but I heard/read Easters is pretty bad.

You should take a QB in every class. Regardless of who you have on the current roster.

I recall you saying the reports on Easters were not great.

UCF transfer linebacker Eriq Gilyard is going to announce his commitment this morning, KU is in the running. He would a huge get at a major position of need.

If they can get Gilyard, plus all the moves they have made and any additional players coming in next year could be very interesting…in a good way.

I recall an early linebacker transfer named Gabe Toomey that helped change the face of the defensive unit at Kansas Football.
