BS from BS. It replaces a really good rebounder with size with an undersized guy who can't rebound.
You do realize that KU is still 5 deep at position? McCormack is big and can rebound. Both Lawson bros are really good at rebounding, and I think Mitch, if given the chance, can be a great player when he's not the only big on the floor.
I don't know whether KJ is more Markieff Morris than CJ Henry. I do know that Mitch is a damn good player, a better Kevin Young, and guys like that have a place even on really good, deep teams.

Mitch was 8th in Big 12 in blocks last year too. 6th in block percentage in Big 12 history. He's an athletic guy that teams do need. When he gets playing time in his more natural role, he can flourish.

pretty sure the upcoming season may be defined more than anything by how much K can squirm.
There are no Nike trials.

Mitch will be fine/good playing the '4'.
Dok and McCormack can handle the '5'.
Mitch and maybe now KJ will mix in there with Dok when Dedric is out - you might even see Dedric and Mitch/KJ now in situations.

You gotta figure Dedrick might end up at the 5 in some late game situations that otherwise might end up hack-a-Dok.

I am curious to see how Dok has improved at the line. All offseason was probably spent doing jump hooks in the lane and at the line. He's good on everything else.

Even so, he's probably best left on the bench close and late, especially where the other team is pressing. I'd much rather have both Lawsons on the floor in that situation.

I’d rather have Dedrick and Silvio, sigh

It's annoying that the right outcome here would/will be fuel for the "KANSAS FOUND GUILTY OF CHEATING' takestorm.
