I hope that Trump does get the nod and brings his 85% of the 30% vote to the election.

The longer he keeps wielding any political power/influence the more damage he does to the US society in general and our economy. Societal instability is not good for business, unless you are selling guns of course.

This is a malignant narcissist who has filed for bankruptcy multiple times with little personal consequence. Burning it all to the ground to spite his enemies has long been part of his life story. Destroying everything will just increase the adulation from his cult of aggrieved losers. The viability of his candidacy will depend upon how much chaos he inspires over the next 4 years and if conservatives decide he is or isn't worth the risk any more.

Let's face the reality that our society is sick. So it's a 50/50 bet at this point.

It honestly feels like the last great push to keep the 'racist old white guys' in power. If they succeed, the democratic republic will have officially failed. We came really close this past November.

watch Trump get another GOP nomination and loose by an even bigger popular margin, which would have actually been bigger yet, but for millions of voters in swing states finding out they were unregistered after the fact, resulting in another narrow electoral college win for Trump.
