Because the illegals that come across our borders get benefits when homeless veterans that served our country are forgotten.

It's fucked.

We need to start prioritizing our own citizens

The biden administration instead wants to play politics with illegals (future votes to stay in power)

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

if all these illegals just want free shit, why aren’t they going to countries with socialized, free healthcare?

odd…

So much cake-having-and-cake-eating; it simply doesn't work to both reject "globalism" (to reject the notion that we are but a part of a much bigger system) AND to wet your pants over immigration at the southern border.

Other countries have a lot of problems with waves of immigration too. Both legal and illegal. Many of which have systems in place to stop it

That's accurate. Which is why we need to dramatically change our approach to handling illegal immigration.

There are 8 billion people, they can't all come here. When globally we have a "population issue" when it comes to living sustainably. One of those dumbest things a country could do is continue allowing masses of population to walk across your border

So ... you would describe this issue as common to wealthy nations?

It's sort of amazing how people who claim to loathe democrat-run cities...have evidently not really spent much time outside of cities.

There are many, many, many reasons we should not (and do not) simply hang a welcome sign above our borders and points of entry.

Scarcity of land and resources is NOT one of them.

There are so many things wrong with this. I spend most my time outside cities

Is there enough land for people to fit? Yes. Is there enough land to yield enough resources for everyone to live a comfortable life? Not even close. Not the way we live our lives. The estimate is for everyone to live the way we do in this country, we would need about 8 productive earths

Do you realize how much space is needed to produce every cheeseburger you eat? The amount of land water and ecosystem needed to grow food is a lot more than you think obviously

This, and your next post, is galaxybrain mush.

While it is true that our agricultural practices, particularly in the Southwest, are problematic, those issues are not within the top fifty reasons we should (and do) care about immigration policy.

This galaxybrain mush is a transparent, nonsensical attempt to turn a good-faith left wing issue into a gotcha in service of making things even worse for migrants than they already are.

democrats favor unlimited illegal immigration.

republicans favor careful thoughtful legal immigration.

they differ. it’s the way it is. no biggie.

it’s our differences that make us special and beautiful.
