Exposed has such negative connotation, but I agree with this to a good extent.

Groves was like 20th best transfer available. And we are well aware of the hit or miss rate on transfers (granted, in a normal offseason). We were also a patchwork team in the tournament.

Terrible.
Seems he was working out with the crew from Klutch.
Forgive me but I am wondering who (if not him) was driving and what if anything happened to them.

He was speeding. Ran a red light. Hit another car. Then hit a telephone pole. His mother was with him at some point and he passed with her at his side on way to hospital.

Just tragic all the way around.

Thanks for the update. I did read his mother was with him when he passed away.
Very sad and for now I'll choose to refrain from making any other comments.

And his teammate BJ Boston was in a car right behind Clarke and witnesses it. Just so sad for all involved as well as their families and friends. Elite basketball is a small world where everyone knows everyone these days. Such a tragic loss that will be felt throughout their community.

Damn. That is an awful story. Right at the cusp of potentially catching a dream he had been chasing his whole life. Damn.

I have a few questions I was thinking about this morning.
Supposedly he was in the car alone. Where was his mother - that she was supposedly with him when he died? Obviously very close by.
Why was he traveling at a "very high rate of speed" (in a Hyundai Genesis) - and did he have a health issue/crises which factored in to the accident?
Was there a mechanical issue with the car?
Who's car was it? He was 19. I could be wrong but I don't believe you can rent a car in California if you're not 21. If I had to guess I might guess it was a rental that was provided to him - by Klutch?

1) He died at the hospital, not at the scene. His mother was able to be with him at the hospital.
2) People speed. He also "wasn't wearing his seat belt properly" according to a law enforcement statement on the incident.
3) Who knows. Doesn't sound like it factored in.
4) Safe assumption that it was provided by Klutch while he was in town but it hasn't been released. I doubt it will be.
