100% agree. The only national title under Bill Self came in a season where our non-con schedule sucked big time, with just one decent game against a fringe Top 25 team.

You either have the guys who can make the plays or you don't.

Rest and work for the bench players is great in an 18-game conference season that follows

Given our easy non-con, we could be something like #2 and Kentucky could be like #8.

Love for them to sneak into the AP Top 5 and Bill pads that ridiculous win-loss record.

The last UK visit to AFH was a great environment; I look forward to the next one. That will be a really fun game to attend.

Been saying for awhile now that UK is our new biggest rival.

7th game in the last 8 seasons.

Would love it if it was a match up of Top 5 teams. Would also love it if the rails came off UK a bit and the head to head was to pass them on the all time win list. Currently just 4 back.

If you're going to say "new biggest rival" and mean they are one of them, yes, but you can't discount the hundred plus years and hundreds of games between KU and Mizzou and KU and ksu.

And in response to "we dont play Mizzou" - a. Wouldn't discount all the history b. The rivalry is so deep that we wouldn't schedule them partly out of hate c. We are playing them. And itll be a bigger game for most KU fans.

And in response to how shitty ksu is...full on gutter here but they have as many B12 titles as we do in the last three years.

For instance, this year, would you rather loose to UK or Mizzou? Which would infuriate you more? Which would feel better absolutely beating down on?

I'd be more upset losing to Missouri simply because they are a worse team. I feel better about beating down UK for the same exact reason.

Yea.

We’ve played mizzou once in the last - decade? Cuz they’re a bunch of pussy bitches who left the conference, and in a big way, forfeited the rivalry.

And we play Kstate a lot but pretty much own them as a whole. That’s not really the formula for a good rivalry.

And in that one game we played mizzou i paid above normal market value to be able to watch it online (as did a shit ton of other irrc). I think that says something.

Mizzou and KState are our "rivals".

UK is one of very few peers we have. But they can't truly be our rival because their rival is Louisville.

So are you saying mizzou is still our biggest rival?

Probably.

It ain't UK. Solely for the reason i listed above. A rivalry has to have the same hate on both sides. I enjoy beating duke just as much as UK. Because those teams are in are our peer group.

in the last handful of years baylor and texas tech have got my juices flowing pretty good. I like playing wvu.

A big game against a conference foe is more exciting for me than any non-conference game.
